Spotless, very comfortable, all mod-cons, modern but charming setting with character.
Nothing to dislike - might be a bit isolated re local supermarket, restaurant, transport but only 7 mins to town by car.

I really hate to write bad reviews but I have to be honest..we booked this place based on how highly recommended it was from others who have stayed here and to say we were sorely disappointed with our experience would be an understatement. I feel like the money we spent for two nights was completely wasted plus we were out more money on diesel driving in and out and on purchasing cleaning products
I felt like we were misled by the photos and the property details provided. Going by the description I thought we would be in a bigger apartment as the facilities listed included a dishwasher, tumble dryer, pull out bed, drying rack for clothes, extra large double bed and a patio with garden views..none of which we had. Our view was of the work going on beside the building we were in. It was not spacious at all and the bedroom did not have any room for two people to get ready..I had to sit on the floor in front of the mirror with my partner having to step around me. We booked Dunderry Lodge purely for the fact it was self catering but we were unfortunately placed in Lodge 5 which was extremely small and had very little room to cook, clean etc in the kitchen. The frying pan in the cupboard still had food stuck to it and the handle felt like it was ready to come off at anytime. When my partner took a cup from the cupboard it still had some form of liquid in it and the dish sponge did not look new resulting in us going to buy cleaning materials before using anything for fear of getting sick. From the sign on the wall asking for all dishes to be washed and placed back in the correct cupboards the responsibility may be placed on previous guests but I feel like this should have been at least checked by the owners before the next guests arrived as it is basic hygiene. The cooker hood was not working so we had to cook with the doors and windows open so as to not set off the smoke alarm which meant numerous flies got in. The tv remote did not work, we had to use our own batteries that we thankfully had. The bathroom itself was clean enough but the toiletries holder was quite rusted/moulded and had remnants of previous occupiers toiletries. The freezer also seemed to be quite mouldy and there looked to be what I thought was blood on the inside of the bedroom door.
