Cosy Cabin stay

Easy to find, so welcomed by Peter and Patch. Situated in the countryside, peaceful and yet close enough to facilities. Everything you would need and more. Homely and comfortable.

Would recommend, beautiful.

Lovely location, the host was fantastic and the cabin was great. It’s a little out of the way, so id advise to drive or rent a car if you’re staying here. Nothing but good things to say about the place. The hosts dog is also a lovely little chap.

Lovely quiet spot in the country surrounded by nature and lovely local sights and towns.

It was clean and cosy and the host was an absolute gentleman, wishing Peter the best.

A little bit far out from the closets towns or the castle if you don’t drive so it can be trickier to get to but we were fine as we had a car.

Perfect cabin in a beautiful and quiet part of the country

After a long day hiking in the mountains we were thrilled to arrive at Rathgillen Cabin. Very cosy and comfortable we had a great nights sleep.

Quiet, warm and homely

I couldn’t fault the property, maybe get the correct wood knot covering paint for the ceiling to cover the wood knot marks coming through the paint. To people that wouldn’t know what they were, they may think it was mould and give this property a negative rating which it does not deserve

Disappointed

Not a lot really.

It was billed as a two bed appt but in reality it was one bedroom with a second double bed in a already cramped space. It just spelt meanness to me. It was very dusty in the bedroom. Rethink this one ❗️could be perfect if your honest and call it as it is.

It was lovely and peaceful all you can hear are the birds I had my grandkids with me they loved the little calf’s and of course the lovely sheep dog that greeted us the cabin has everything you need and is so cosy

Amazing hosts and a wonderful stay.

It was a perfect base for us to explore Meath and surrounds. Very quiet and comfortable. Not your average motel. Washing and drying facilities were also available.

We can’t think of anything negative at all.

Charming, tiny house on a farm ❤️

Great little tiny house with a double bed and large comfy bunk bed. Clean and charming interior. There's also a large wooden deck outside with tables and chairs which was lovely to spend time on in the late sunny evenings. A Lovely sheepdog was also running around outside on the very quaint farm grounds. Peter was extremely kind and helpful, always there if you need him. He's very funny and has a good, positive energy. Thanks for your generosity Peter!

Superb

We got a warm welcome from the hosts Peter and Máire, whose farm is the location, next to a field of calves. There is a stone-built lodge as well as the cabin on the site. The cabin is self-contained and has all the necessry features for self-catering.

We absalutely loved our time at Rathgillen cabin. Peter the owner is a lovely host and couldnt have been any nicer to us. It was so cosy and warm. Our 3 kids had a great time and we felt so safe letting them run around the yard outside. They even played lots of football with Patch the dog and they didnt want to come home. So much so that they cried over leaving the dog. We highly recommend it. And we will 100% be returning for a longer stay next summer.

Wunderschöne und ruhige Lage. Die Aussicht ist toll! Die Ausstattung der Unterkunft ist wunderbar. Alles vorhanden was man braucht. Das nächste Mal bleiben wir gerne länger.

Una struttura splendida

Tutto accogliente, la struttura era veramente carina e dotata di tutto il necessario dentro una grande fattoria nel silenzio della campagna, Peter è stato veramente gentilissimo pronto ad ogni nostra domanda persino a cercare un parco giochi per il bambino in zona e a prestarci una prolunga. Un posto meraviglioso
