Location was quite central on a short way from city centre, and was equipped with everything we needed

All was good

Mainly the facilities - my room had a fridge and basic kitchen, which is so helpful when travelling, and a laundry on site as well. The price was very reasonable indeed, perhaps partly because they don’t routinely service the rooms every day, although this can be requested. It is close to a supermarket - just across the road - and on a bus route that goes into central Cambridge. I was able to park my car at the front. There is no staff on site most of the time but they come and do basic cleaning most days and I spoke to them a couple of times. It was easy to contact the office if necessary.

No complaints at all.

The property was very nice and the facilities were very good, everything was clean. We liked tea and coffee being provided and toiletries - shampoo etc

The check in process was woefully inadequate. We were sent the key code for the property by email at 9:50pm the night we were staying - this is much too late. We had been at the Cambridge Folk festival until 10:30pm, and arrived at the property at about 11pm. Unfortunately, my phone had run out of charge by this time - so I was unable to access the email (I had checked my emails earlier in the day and found nothing from the property - so had assumed there was a reception at the property). There was no reception at the property and the number provided on the outside of the property was unmanned - we received no answer to our repeated attempts to call. As two women alone late at night, this was quite worrying. I had also been in touch with the property earlier in the day or the day before through the Booking.com messaging system to enquire about leaving our luggage and checking what time we could check in until - there was no information given in response to my query seeking confirmation that we could check in until midnight - and worse, no details about how to check in. We needed the keycode and the room number to access the key. In the end, I managed to contact my son who looked on my laptop at home and was able to find the email with the required information - but if he had not been at home - then we would have been stranded with nowhere to stay at 11:30pm in an unfamiliar town - as I said previously - we were two women alone (myself and my daughter). This is clearly unacceptable and the check in information should have been sent much much earlier. I don't wish for you to publish my review - but I am seeking assurance that this matter is addressed - as it is clearly unacceptable.

Comfortable bed. Close to bus route. En-suite bathroom. Clean.

The communal kitchen was ok but someone had taken much of the crockery and left it in flat 1. Few glasses, no wine glasses. Cooker very complicated to work. Only 2 dining chairs plus one broken. The curtains in flat 5 were poorly hung. Noisy on roundabout; had to shut the windows at night. An electric kettle and 2 mugs in the room would be nice.
