Centrally located well appointed apartment.

What a great apartment in the centre of Vernon. It consisted of separate bedroom, lounge area, bathroom, toilet and well equipped kitchen all spotlessly clean. There was also an outdoor terrace. The apartment was centrally located with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment was built into the roof of the building with exposed beams adding character to the decor. Paid parking was available nearby with two options pre-paid and post-paid with costs varying depending on time of day. We spent less than seven Euro per day. The host is very open to feedback on how to improve the apartment.

The exposed beams meant I had to be cautious moving around as I am taller than average (it didn't bother my wife). I also found the bathroom a little cosy but the separate toilet was great. The terrace was not as inviting as the rest of the house and we ended up not spending a lot of time there.

There were no instructions about appliances. When we contacted vendor they did not reply to the message until several days later. We were not sure whether washing machine had been repaired and no information on how to use. Bathroom was challenging due to ceiling height

Wonderful place & location

Ideal location for our trip to Monets garden & Vernon is a beautiful historic town. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, buses & trains but still very peaceful. To have a balcony was a lovely extra. Would highly recommend.

Old fashinoed apartment in a central location.

Spacious, clean, comfortable bed, good location, quiet. light, airy. Nicely fitted out.

The apartment is old with access via steep stairs. Inside there are many low doors and beams. There was a washing machine but it didn't work. The handle fell out of one of the doors. The shower was in a bath squashed under a low roof. The wifi code given was incorrect. Worst, the owner did not respond to questions during our whole stay.

Lovely cosy apartment

Very cosy, great location - we opted to stay another night as we felt so at home. Great base for touring around the area... Giverney, Rouen and Versailles

The washing machine didn't work, and the heated towel rail in the bathroom also had no power to it. As the weather was a little inclement, it would have been useful to use these items. The stairs are narrow but we had small luggage, and the other comments in reviews regarding the low ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom did not bother us.

Great location for visiting Monet's garden.

The location of the property was excellent - a 2 minute walk to bars and shops, a 4 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to the Seine. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very cosy. Other posters have commented on some slightly awkward aspects of the apartment and I have to agree but these were minor; opening the door was a little problematical the first time but thereafter easy (- and to be fair the way to unlock the door was highlighted in the information received from the host), the sloping ceilings made sitting in bed and showering a slight problem but nothing more. Other positives were a lovely outside seating area that caught the sun in the evening, a comfortable sofa in front of an excellent TV (Netflix available) in the lounge area, good WiFi and the host responded immediately to any concerns we had, particularly about the latter.

Our real problem was the unpleasant smell that started coming from the room that contained the washing machine. Although it only started on the second morning, it was so unpleasant at times that we removed our clothes from the hangers that were also in the same room. Had we been staying longer we would have contacted the host about this.

Location was great. Apartment design. Bed and bed linens. Cleanliness. Uniqueness. Ability to open windows for airflow. Safe. Responsiveness of owner Baptiste.

If you are over 6’ tall you have to watch your head in places for wooden beams. Had to sit in the tub to use hand held shower due to height restriction

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, vollständig ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Lage perfekt für Stadtbummel, Restaurants und Ausflüge in die weitere Umgebung.

Zutritt mit 3 Schlüsseln, engem Flur und schmaler Treppe etwas unbequem. Große Personen stoßen gelegentlich an ihre Grenzen.
