Charming Apartament in Vernon

It was a real pleasure staying at these charming apartments. Anna is a wonderful host – thoughtful, responsive, and very easy to communicate with. The apartment has everything you might need and more: a heater and fan for any weather, an iron, a coffee machine, toiletries, and plenty of other thoughtful touches. The location is also great – just 10 minutes by car to Giverny, with the Musée des Impressionnismes around the corner. There are lots of cafes and shops nearby too. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, full of character, big room, everything you need for a comfortable stay

Excellent location. Great to stay somewhere with character.

Nothing about the apartment. Only minor issue was the upstairs neighbour was a bit inconsiderate. They went out leaving their dog locked in their apartment Saturday night. Incessant barking for 15-20 minutes just after midnight Saturday wasn't appreciated, nor was what sounding like them rearranging the furniture for a couple of hours late the following night.

Enjoyable

Quite shocked at first as we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to the apartment but it was worth it, very cosy and enjoyed listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons on the hi-fi. No need to cook breakfast as there is a cafe right next door with good food.

Just what we needed.

Good location roomy apartment.

The apartment was great and was ideal for what we wanted. We left our car in an underground car park on Friday and caught the train into Paris for the weekend and arrived back in Vernon on Sunday evening. Unfortunately, Vernon is not super active - we did not find any restaurants open and Monday evening was not much better. Spent the day at Giverny would highly recommend.

Very handy for Monets garden (10 mins in the car) and Versailles an hour down the M way.

All good. A little difficulty finding the address. It wasn't clear to us that the door we arrived at was the apartment. Arrived a little late due to traffic in the town, but no probs with the owner. Street parking away from the property. But free between 6pm and 9am, I think? Restaurant recommendations from the apartment owner very good. Plenty of boulangeries within a few minutes for breakfast bread and croissants. Pod coffee machine and a few pods provided. Bring your own milk. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay, a cute romantic apartment in a historical street of Vernon, super close to bars, restaurants, shops, bridge. Very clean, quiet and very french apartment. We loved it! Anna is a lovely host and she gave us all kind of interesting tips what to visit and where to eat. Super!

Charming visit to the past with a charming host!

Historical 15th Century building, excellent location for bakeries and cheese shops. The host--Anna--is exceedingly charming, helpful, and cheery. Quiet historical neighborhood.

The many stone stairs to reach the apartments are extremely narrow. Not suitable for the physically disabled.

Such a treasure

La petite duchesse is a wonderful, cosy accommodation with so many thoughtful additions. Anna is a very kind host - we particularly loved hearing about the history of this very historical house (albeit with all modern amenities!) She was also very generous with our check-in time. Far exceeded all our expectations. We hope to visit again soon!

Comfortable in a Medieval House

The apartment is quite special as it is situated in a medieval building with view on similar buildings. The renovation is well done with respect for the existing historic elements. The location is perfect, central but quiet. You can feel well in this place.

Exceptional

Anna met me as soon as I arrived to show me the apartment, as well as to give some tips on how to get around Vernon. She went above and beyond by booking me a taxi to and from an alternative train station to Vernon-Giverny (which would have otherwise been a short walk to/from her apartment) since there were no trains going from Paris on my travel dates due to a transport strike. Very easy to communicate with her. She was an excellent host!

WiFi did not seem to exist (or my phone just could not detect it). But that was no problem for me since I was out during most of my stay.

Adorabile!

Appartamento la Duchesse, spazioso e delizioso nei suoi arredi, curato, completo di tutto, perfino di uno stereo con la musica francese di Brel pronta a partire, perfetta a completare il clima d’altri tempi di un piccolo paese francese che lo stabile con la sua scala a chiocciola in legno e la camera con camino e travi a vista trasmettono. Semplice ma Suggestiva anche la vista sui tetti e palazzi tipici. Io l’ho trovato splendido!

Non c’era un buon odore, più che altro nella cucina posta all ingresso del mini appartamento, che però ovviamente si propagava un pochino alla stanza, non so se a causa delle tubature o qualcosa del genere, sarebbe bastato almeno l’accorgimento di un buon profumatore a completare la bella atmosfera della stanza. E in cucina non sono riuscita a trovare un cestino per riporre i rifiuti. Materasso e cuscini accettabili ma il fatto che le lenzuola non fossero stirate e quindi molto sgualcite e la presenza di un alone giallo su un cuscino lascia il dubbio ai più diffidenti come me che possano non essere state cambiate tra un ospite e l’altro. Spero possa essere un suggerimento utile per l host per rendere da 10 e lode un luogo così adorabile!
