Owner really cares about guest experience

Well maintained and furnished. Lots of thoughtful touches, like towels for drying dogs, throws for sofa, lovely soft duvets and pillows. Really comfortable.

Cosy, comfortable cottage in a quiet rural location.

The cottage was well equipped, cosy & comfortable. Liz was very welcoming leaving fresh eggs from her free range chickens, milk & biscuits plus all the other essentials. There was even a wood burning stove if you wished to use it.

We felt the heating could have been put on for our arrival as with the weather it felt a little cold on entering the cottage but soon heated up.

We all had the best weekend.

The cottage was beautiful, it had everything you needed. beds were super comfy and warm. We had a wonderful stay. Friendly warm welcome.

Nice little cottage. Very well equipped. Nice and cosy. Lovely bathroom. Very comfortable beds and fresh free range eggs from the chickens. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing we didn't like. It is rural so need to travel for shop or pub if needed but Nice and quiet.

Exceptional

A lovely little cottage felt like home straight away. Pretty much everything you need is supplied and was lovely to arrive and find eggs, milk and choccie biscuits were waiting for us. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome and let us know to see them for anything we need and then left us to enjoy our stay. Would definitely stay again its a very quiet relaxing location but there's plenty of place to explore with a short drive.

Superb

It was very peaceful and was a lovely little cottage. A great location not far from South Molton but very rural. We also found a nature reserve within walking distance.

It was unfortunate that after having used the shower, there didn't seem to be any hot water left for a second shower.

Cosy and peaceful stay

Very clean and cosy. Bed was very comfortable. Cottage was warm and welcoming and good quality towels supplied. Basic essentials supplied eg. Tea towels, tea, coffee and also provided with milk and biscuits.

Only disappointment was not being able to let the dog go out freely. There is plenty of space for them to have a run around but you need to be with them.

A lovely cottage in a tranquil location with very comfy beds and quality furnishings in a pleasant countryside location.

Quiet cottage in peaceful surroundings

The bedrooms were very well made up, and I loved the bedding. The space itself was spacious and set across 2 floors. We had 2 small dogs with us, and there was tons of outdoor space for them to safely enjoy. There was even a carton of milk and pack of cookies upon arrival, and the kitchen had essentials such as oil, salt, pepper, tea and coffee for us to enjoy our hello fresh dinner and morning cuppa respectively. I loved the bathroom - very hotel-like set-up, and they even had a non-slip mat, which made it easier to bathe our son in the tub.

It is a cottage, so it heats slowly and we were cold for a long while into the first night. I recommend getting there at a reasonable time to allow the hosts to go through heating setup with you, should you visit in the colder months. I also recommend bringing wellies if you wish to walk your dog across the field, trainers won't do :-) I don't know what I was thinking not bringing a pair. Roads down to the cottage aren't great, especially if your car is set lower to the ground. Be sure to drive slowly, as it's more suited for SUVs or Pickup trucks. ...I think.

Lovely Devon countryside cottage

Great cottage with lovely furnishings, and lovely and peaceful.

Only a couple of issues - the step at the front door was a fall hazard and could benefit from floor hazard marking. Also as this is advertised as dog friendly it would benefit from a secure garden area. Thx.
