Beautiful accommodation with amazing views

Beautiful property, idyllic location. Clean and very well equipped. Amazing welcome hamper one that surpasses anything I have ever had before. Excellent communication with owner.

It was an ideal spot for us and our 2 dogs

It was warm and welcoming and a particularly nice touch to have a welcome pack. The location out of town was good with the lovely views and an amazing sky on a clear night.

Fabulous stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Such a beautiful quiet location. Well maintained property and the welcome pack was phenomenal. We could have arrived with nothing and been ok. Having a utility room with washer dryer was very useful. Kids loved the farm and seeing the animals and the honesty farm shop was great when we ran out of essentials.

The internet was a bit wobbly. We struggled to get and then stay connected to the WiFi. But Richard & Adele worked tirelessly to try and fix it. Was just bad luck and I’m sure it’ll have been fixed for the next guests. We were in clover cottage.

Good value for money, but some improvements needed

Very quiet and nice area. Beautiful view. Farm animals. Fireplace. Kitchen well-equipped. Close to the town centre. The welcome pack was amazing- juice, eggs, cake, coffee, tea, jam- just perfect.

Wi-fi is constantly losing the signal and needs to be restarted. Smelly bedroom sheets and towels. Flooring - some of the kitchen tiles are loose and could hurt your feet. The Wooden flooring upstairs was very noisy and disturbing for sleeping kids downstairs. Spiders and spider cobs in both bedrooms. Very dusty and lots of debris under the living room sofa.

The welcome package was a lovely surprise and most appreciated. Enjoyed the quiet location.

I would rather pay the returnable damage deposit in cash on arrival and have it returned on leaving or at least a week later at latest.

Perfect

Was the absolute perfect location! So peaceful & quiet. Were very familiar with the area but was so easy to get around. Property was absolutely beautiful, we absolutely will be back❤️

This didn’t bother us in the slightest but the lane access might put some people off but not one time we drove through did we encounter another car

Excellent rural quiet location, great value accommodation.

The welcome hamper was absolutely fabulous. Kitchen very well equipped, everything in the property you could ask for. We opted for meals from the menu Adele provides. They were excellent value for money delicious home cooked food. Great rural location, very close to south Molton and supermarket/shops.

Front patio not fully enclosed, although not a major issue with our dogs.

Perfect rural retreat, making the best of a quiet location, all we would want of a holiday cottage.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean, well-organised and well-equipped. Location is very peaceful and it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace & quiet. The location is rural, which we knew, but for us that was the beauty of the cottage, and it was a good location for our daily activities, most of which were a reasonable drive away. Hosts were very helpful with arrival details (the hamper we arrived to was lovely) and while they kept a low profile, they were on hand had we needed anything.

Everything was thought of, we could have arrived with nothing and not needed to go anywhere else. Beautiful location really nice, comfortable accommodation.

The roads are extremely narrow, especially nearer the accommodation but they were pretty quiet.

Lovely property with lovely view in great area

Almost everything, could not really fault it and certainly return. Excellent welcoming pack and much appreciated. Great parking

One small thing, it would be very handy to have a shelf in the shower cubicle in the double bedroom en-suite. Also, if practical (and owner’s responsibility) would it be possible to have mirrors at the end of the long road leading to the property so you can see if traffic coming from either direction. But this would not stop us returning.

Perfect

A perfect countryside retreat – we didn’t want to leave! We had the most wonderful stay at Appledore Barn – it’s a true hidden gem tucked away in the stunning Devon countryside. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful surroundings and the beautifully kept grounds. The barn itself is full of character with modern comforts, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well-equipped – everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our morning coffee with those rolling views was such a treat. The location is ideal too – just a short drive to South Molton and close to both Exmoor and the coast, so there’s plenty to explore. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and memorable stay. You can really tell how much care and thought has gone into every detail. We honestly didn’t want to leave, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Appledore Barn for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in the heart of Devon.

Picturesque, Beautiful part of the world, Relaxing.

Lovely place to stay. Great layout of the property. The owners are very thoughtful with complimentary basket upon arrival and they have provided great utilities which made our stay there comfortable and felt at ease. Lovely views over the rolling countryside and was brilliant to connect with the farm animals (the kids loved the Rams, in particular the Ram with one horn, which the kids named Curly). Good directions to property and well signposted. A lovely peaceful stay. Many thanks

Luxurious properties in an idyllic location - highly recommend

I’ve stayed at a few rental properties in my time, but this was definitely not typical; the properties have been renovated to a very high standard with all the amenities you could look for in a holiday home - this felt more like house-sitting for a friend with great taste. Location was idyllic, with views over the rolling Devon countryside, and so very quiet and peaceful, especially at night. My grown up adult kids loved seeing the farm animals, so I can imagine it would be an even bigger treat for younger children. The welcome pack provided was excellent, and had all the essentials you need to get started with your first dinner or breakfast.

Only slight downside of the peaceful location was the single track roads leading from the property to the nearest B Roads… with the high hedges it’s difficult to see if anything is coming the other way, so you have to be very careful. .. reversing downhill to the nearest passing place wasn’t fun! However, this is a very minor complaint when balanced against the facilities and location

Great location for us to visit family who live in the area, comfortable, clean, beautiful decor, fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break with amazing views and the added bonus of farmyard animals on site, lovely kind gesture of a complimentary welcome pack packed with local and delicious products.

The property is homely and well presented, set in a beautiful area with fantastic views. The hosts are very welcoming, not to mention the pigs and the communication was great. Lovely log burner for cold evenings and everything you need including a fabulous welcome hamper

Amazing value in a gorgeous picturesque cottage

Amazing location, beautiful scenery, and an overall gorgeous cottage. The hosts were amazing and on request supplied us with a wonderful BBQ pack for our first night which was lovely. Very quiet and secluded. Peaceful with spectacular views.

The only issue we faced which was a slight problem was the Wi-Fi signal kept dropping in and out and sometimes went completely for X amount of time. Nevertheless, this wasn’t a complete make or break.

Relaxed and comfortable stay in well thought out accommodation.

Property was light, airy and very spacious and all equipment and needs of guests had been catered for. Hosts provided an exceptional welcome hamper and included home baked items , produce from the farm and other locally sourced products. Excellent communication prior to arrival with comprehensive information and option of ordering pre prepared meals for first night. Really felt that hosts wanted to make sure that guests had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at their accommodation.

Welcome basket of food was excellent. Complete English breakfast for all 4 of us plus extras. Homemade lemon cake also.

Perhaps could have done with an opening bedroom window.
