Perfect comfortable stay - we'll definitely return if we're in the area again!

We had a great stay at Hunter's Lodge - very cosy and comfortable, beautifully cared for and with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Little touches like the cream tea on arrival were hugely appreciated and very welcome after a long drive. Host very welcoming and kind, checking we were warm enough and happy to adjust the heating to come on earlier for our early rising children - thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope we can return again. Highly recommended!

It was beautiful, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Great peaceful location, just perfect!

It could have been slightly warmer, but I happy with a blanket. There was a toddler running around upstairs which was a bit annoying, but to be expected when you’re on the ground floor.

What an absolute gem of a property 💗 loved everything about it, location, owners, cream tea, cozy, warm, comfortable, great decor. I could go on! Didn’t want to leave and would totally recommend for a couple wanting to get away from it all and hunker down 💗 Dulverton is beautiful and there’s a great coffee shop 💗

What a lovely stay in the Woodpecker Lodge. So quiet and in picturesque surroundings. The accommodations were nicely decorated, comfortable and had everything you would need. Perfect for touring the north of Devon and Exmoor.

A restful stay in a cozy & comfortable apartment in a quiet and peaceful setting.

We had a great stay at Knapp House Lodges. We stayed in Woodpecker Lodge, the smallest of three lodges available to guests. The property, gardens, and surrounding area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. We heard Tawny owls close by at night which was a treat. The apartment itself is lovely - private, comfortable, and well equipped. We spent a lot of time in the apartment owing to the weather and a fair bit of jet lag. It was an easy and comfortable space to be in. The perfect size for a couple. It was also spotlessly clean. There is a farm just down the road from Knapp House (within easy walking distance) where you can buy fresh, beautiful, and gigantic chicken eggs. Be sure to get some when you stay! A lovely stay and highly recommend.

Relaxing comfort away from it all.

This was a lovely property in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were fantastic with a lovely greeting upon arrival and a complementary cream tea basket. The apartment was large and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Importantly the sofa was roomy and comfy as was the double bed. The bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean and fresh. All in all we had a very relaxing few weeks in this apartment. It is not local to shops but the next village is only a ten minute drive away and is a real cosy Devon town.

Perfect for any type of visitors

The quality of the decor, comfortable and spacious rooms and the peacefull gardens and surroundings were all first class,the hosts made us very welcome which left us knowing they were very approachable if we had any problems which we didn’t

Lovely peaceful get away in a clean, cozy apartment, with extra thoughtful touches

We stayed in the Woodpecker Loft. The lovely welcome scones and coffee/tea tray was a lovely surprise with superb Exmoor tea and coffee. The kitchen had everything we needed, it was warm, comfortable and homely. We loved the black out on the velux in the bedroom too. It is in a remote location (but only 3 miles from Dulverton) so great for stargazing and peace and quiet. We did loads of walking in the local area, there are footpaths everywhere. Although it was part of the main house, it felt totally separate and private. We ordered the breakfast basket which was really lovely with locally sourced products, especially those huge dark yellow yolked eggs! All the eco touches were recognised too, from shower gel to washing up scourers. We would definitely recommend Knapp House Lodges to anyone wanting a peaceful authentic get away.

Spotless accommodation in ideal location

Beautifully clean apartment. Very helpful instructions to find the property, what to bring and what was provided. Lovely cream tea to welcome us. Location is excellent for exploring much of Devon and Somerset, with great recommendations from the hosts.

Holiday in style near Exmoor national park

Everything. Beautiful house itself. The appartements are lovely decorated, comfortable, large, well equipped, ... Nice garden around the house which can be used. A very delicious breakfast can be ordered. Extremely friendly and helpful landlords.

Nothing except the small roads with high hedges in the whole area, but that's normal in the countryside.

Lovely, we hope to return

Location was lovely as was the property but due to attending a wedding we didn't have time to look around the area properly. Loved the cream tea waiting for us when we arrived!

The only problem we had was having to remove our shoes on arrival. The lobby area in which to do that was quite small and it would have been made easier if a small stool had been provided. Not everyone (including myself) has the balance to do that standing up. A broom would have been useful to sweep up in that area too

Tranquil with a touch of luxury.

The hosts made us feel welcome to use their gardens which were lovely and peaceful and made for a relaxing stay. Exceptionaly clean and a very comfortable bed. Welcomed with a cream tea and introduced us to Exmoor Tea - so good we had to buy some to bring home.

We had a wonderful week in this fabulous apartment on the edge of Exmoor.

We stayed for a week in Kestrel Lodge, which is on the first floor, accessed by external wooden staircase. This wasn’t a problem for us at all. The apartment itself was beautifully presented and extremely well provisioned with top quality equipment. Lovely grounds, very peaceful. We loved the cream tea awaiting us on arrival!

Lovely location, helpful hosts and quiet

Not really a problem with the accommodation but because I arrived by bicycle I struggled to get to shops, restaurants etc. No taxi service. However, hosts were very helpful and provided me with food.

Wonderful stay surrounded by nature

The location is so quit and peaceful. Surrounded by nature. We met Mike (the owner) and thank you so much for helping us with everything. The road book helped us a lot. And thank you to your wife Michele for the wonderful scones upon arrival
