Knapp House Lodges

The lodges are set in beautiful grounds with an abundance of nature and wildlife to enjoy. It was so relaxing to sit by the pond and watch the bunnies hop about! The lodges have been renovated to a high standard and have a clean, luxurious and homely feel. I loved the focus on the environment and sustainability in the cleaning products and toiletries provided. The owners are wonderful - so helpful and the little touches they provide such as fresh bread, eggs and coffee make this a very special place to stay. Highly recommend!

This is purely personal because we hadn't appreciated the difficulty of access. We should have realised the 'loft' implications. For anyone with difficulties with steps - especially inside without any handrails it is a difficult property. For a more active person it is a really attractive property. Any criticism is about our lack of awareness of the limitations for us and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to younger people.

Very clean, lovely quality furniture and soft furnishings. Thoughtful extras including fly screens to the bedroom windows and quality toiletries. Personal greeting on arrival. Good location for the Exmoor area. Parking space.
