We liked the isolation.
The mattress were poor quality, and the bedding old and very tired.
However a sweet little cottage.
Our main complaint is the size of the TV, the size of a laptop!!
Unable to watch it 😔 very disappointed.
Lots of useful information on the area.

It was a great little cottage, with everything needed for our stay, choice of two double bedrooms, space was plentiful, we ate out most days, and just had breakfast in house. Comfortable bed, clean and fresh bedding supplied.
No bath towels supplied. However, we did take our own, so it was not an issue. We had been to the area before, so we was well aware of how hilly it was around the local area and indeed up to the cottage. Again, no issues, as the cottage felt as if it was little haven in the woods with its own wild life.
Plenty of leaflets of local interests and many walking maps to fulfil plenty of walking in the area. The tv stopped working, and Keith, the proprietor living next door, was on hand to swap tv with another if needed. We eventually got it working, so kept with the one supplied. Some might say the tv would be a tad small for the room. We found it exceptable, as we also read, and I did draw during our stay.
Overall, we were very happy with our week staying at Spring Cottage.
The towel rail in the bathroom was hot all the time during our stay, and we couldn't find a switch to turn it of. Very minor, although conscience of electricity billing.

Location was great if you like wildness and quietness. Owners very friendly. We would stay in this property again if we wanted to holiday near Lynton, North Devon. Almost a 'Home from Home'
Great place for our dog too! Nice garden for us to sit in, in the evening. Our dog liked the owners dog.
Good little woodburning stove!
The shower wasn't very good, but the large bath and plenty of hot water made up for it.
Narrow road approach for folk that don't like narrow roads, but no problem for us!
