Gill the owner is a lovely person, but we feel the property is not suitable for winter use.
The location is extremely good. The apartment was nicely decorated. Gill (the owner) was very welcoming.
We were not made aware of the pay as you go electric meter until 2 days before departure. The whole house was cold. The room had not been aired for our arrival and was very cold and damp, the condensation on all the windows was dripping wet for all of the week, obstructing the view considerably which was a main reason for choosing this apartment. We dare not run the emersion heater due to the additional cost and had to boil the kettle for a wash and washing up. The electric used for the week was an additional £100+ on top of the price for the apartment. The bathroom was extremely cold and very damp, the towels provided were damp and unpleasant to use. Gill the owner offered us another apartment but, on viewing was also very cold and damp. She also offered additional electric portable heaters, which added to the electric meter use. The whole idea of a holiday in February was for us to relax and have a break from our stressful lives providing daily care for our elderly parents and a very sick brother. We would imagine it is a lovely place to stay in the warmer months, definitely not winter.

The location was halfway up the hill between Lynton and Lynmouth. Hard work with my lung condition. Car parking was a challenge.
