Enjoyed our stay at Lyme View , it was very good value for money and perfectly located

Location was excellent - check in easy and the cottage had pretty much all you need . Beds were comfortable and bathroom / shower was great

No basics available ie washing up liquid and only one toilet roll , the kitchen area was very small and difficult for 4 people to move around at the same time

lovely location, repairs needed

hello, thank you for a nice holiday. The apartment was well equipped and had fresh bedding and towels, plus plenty of hot water and a beautiful view.

I just wanted to mention that the bathroom door kept locking people in and it required two people turning the handles from either side in order to get out. The blinds were very thin, cheap plastic and were also broken in that the gripper at the top of the blind had to be manipulated in order to keep the blind up and they occasionally suddenly dropped down. The property needs a doormat as we kept having to wipe the kitchen floor with the spare hand towels when coming in from the rain as big puddles formed. The dining table hinges were also badly glued together so we could only use half of it. The shower drain also was very slow and we tried to unblock it, but that probably needs sorting. These were all minor inconveniences, and overall we had a good experience.

Lovely property

Quiet area. Just a few minutes walk into Lynmouth and ideally placed as a base for visiting the area. Lovely view of the river. Kitchen fully equipped.

Very slippery cobbles and steps in the alley leading to the entrance. A door mat to wipe feet on would have been very usual as would a broom or mop. Felt the large freezer could be replaced with somewhere to store shoes.

Lovely holiday home

Lovely, clean property with a homely feel. It had everything you would need for a family holiday and the children’s toys and games were a very nice touch too. Location is excellent for exploring Lynmouth and surrounding areas. Car parking is no problem as the car park 2 minutes away is free overnight from 6pm-10am.

Great location with lovely walks, close to pubs and shops.enjoyed the Cliff railway and challenging ourselves to walking

Good location in the village with beautiful nature walks nearby. Comfortable and had all we needed.

No instructions about how to turn on the power for the shower. Eventually found a fuse switch outside the bathroom door and then turned on the heated towel rack unknowingly. Unfortunately my son didn’t realise it was on and burnt his arm on it because it gets very hot.

Good contact with the host (the shower did not work upon our arrival, but it was properly repaired the day after. We missed the shower on our arrival day, but the contact and repair were so smooth and swift it is a strong point instead of a weak point), nice cottage, good beds

It was well laid out. Room to relax and functional too. The view of the river and valley was lovely and to hear the river flowing was very tranquil. The loft room fabulous for adult kids! Everything was in walking distance too.

Nothing at all. As the info and reviews describe it so well. We didn’t mind this at all, will mention that the stairs are steep, so be mindful. Car park, however, £20 for a 4 day pass. Which was good value. Otherwise it’s £14.00 per day.

Great location!

Loved the location and the house had good facilities. Nice and modern decor and the shower was wonderful!

The stairs are steep! I think it would be good to notify guests of this on the site. One of our party struggled to get up the stairs and had to sleep downstairs in the end. It would also be good to have a door on the top room to keep noise and light out, but not sure if this is something the owner can change.

3 dining room chairs-4 guests 3 chairs available were not comfortable why the cleaning bill is so expensive £117 pounds and the place was not clean ? dust in the bedrooms bed side cabinets dog hair everywhere cushions on the sofa dirty fridge turned of, it took nearly a day for the fridge to reach desirable temperature

Lynmouth is beautiful - But the 'modern' townhouse is actually quirky. Parking can be expensive.

It is very close to the sea and Lynmouth is a truly beautiful location. Nice view of the river and quiet.

Parking is listed as a 'facility', but it's not. I messaged the property to explain my disappointment in finding this out, especially because I travelled with someone with mobility issues. Not a word of apology for the misleading advertising (they just pointed to the 'house policies' which are hard to find using the smartphone) and they didn't offer viable alternatives to the £10 rip-off fares, and -even worse- not a word of empathy which makes me think they know exactly what they are doing. Luckily, after looking around I found free options (hard to believe the property are 'not aware' of these), but it's really not easy to offload/load luggage. Also, the cleaning for only 2 days cost £118, but I found large cobwebs in one bedroom and in the bathroom, which is very poor for that fee. The toilet seat is broken and keeps wobbling. The top bedroom doesn't have a door, which is not great for privacy. The folding dining table is cumbersome.

We arrived very late due to traffic and wanted a nice shower to freshen up. There were no shower gels. I had to wait until shops opened the day after. This is only a minor thing but even a small shower gel in the bathroom would have been lovely.

Good

Great location for Lynmouth, clean rooms, comfy beds and cosy. The sound of the river running outside was lovely to fall asleep to.

We felt the property fell short in a few places that would have made our stay more comfortable e.g. we booked for 5 adults and had to dig through cupboards for bedding, sheets and bath towel for the sofa bed guest, no hand towel provided in the bathroom, it could have been more generous with things like teabags and loo roll (was just one teabag and one sachet serving of instant coffee, 1 and a half loo rolls provided) - small things that add up and make it feel a bit less homely - so come prepared. We also noticed that the drainpipes from the bathroom were flooding/the manhole was overflowing onto the pathway directly outside the front door which was unpleasant trying to avoid bringing in dirty water into the cottage, though we visited during a rainy period so this will have played a part. For these reasons I couldn’t give it full marks but we had a good stay nonetheless and would return due to how good the location is.

Great location lovely views and cottage was very quaint

Top bedroom had dead wasps on the floor and I found one in the bed they were also lots of them down the side of the bed also found empty milkshake bottle in bed at side I would say this is the cleaners not pulling out beds to hoover this is totally a cleaning issue not the owner fault I wouldn’t imagine shame as it was lovely but I didn’t really want to sleep in there after that !

It was okay if you don't mind giving it a wipe down

The bed had a comfy mattress. It was quiet as Watersmeet road was closed. It's not far from the town, shops or beach. Nice view of the river, good walks nearby. Nearest Car park £5 a day and can pay by card.

The stairs were so steep I had to pull myself up with the handrail. The main bedroom has a step down before going downstairs and a step up to the right for the bathroom, which makes it a fall risk and quite dangerous as the stairs are very steep with a twist at the bottom. The hover doesn't pick up and it could do with a deep clean ie carpets cushion covers.

External area to entrance door quite untidy. Bathroom sink plug and extractor not working, otherwise the facilities and location were good. Booking.com stated parking provided but they actually meant there was a pay & display car park down the road... quite misleading.
