Great Location, comfy beds, warm and lovely cottage which was very central to all we wanted to visit during our stay many fossils found on seatown beach and we were lucky to have glorious weather during our stay.
We had no issue with reviews on road noise after reading previous reviews. Also understand parking reviews not being directly outside but no problem for us being the situation of this lovely cottage.
Water in tub was really low on arrival and long hair in the tub from previous occupants also black marks around water line. Our first job was to clean, fill tub and add chemical on Monday evening arrival.
I understand the policy is to turn tub off checking out but wouldn’t expect to arrive for it not to have been clean turned off and water depth so low.
Partner and two upset children on arrival due to the tub issue which I rectified straight away and our great stay started from day 2.
Opened Sushi and dips left in the fridge on arrival.
Fridge and freezer compartment not clean.
2 towels had marks on. Surmising make up marks.

Cottage was beautiful and very well equipped with kitchen equipment, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, towels etc. It really was a home from home. The hot tub was heated up when we arrived and stayed warm. The woodburner was easy to use and had logs. We had been left scones, jam and cream which was a lovely touch. It was a lovely property and in very good condition.
The cottage is a mile walk into Lyme Regis. Either walking along the road or taking a beautiful footpath, following the river all the way into the town. There is a lovely tea room and pub in Uplyme too - each within a couple of mins walk of the cottage.
The cottage is managed by a letting agent who just weren't very good. I messaged them to ask about facilities (basic stuff eg would the hot tub be heated on the first day) and they kept replying telling me to read the property info but it didn't have the details. Also, after I had booked, the agent chased me for extra money and Booking.com had to get involved.
Directions need to be better. There are two streets opposite. The directions sent by the booking agent should be updated to include those two and to recommend parking on one of them as you can't park outside the cottage (we unloaded with hazards on).
