Stay away from this place. They will rob you blind at checkout. Charged us over $750 R for one load of laundry. Most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life.

A taste of paradise

The location and the view are incredible, the swimming and the tours delightful and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful (including restoring to me a watch I had left behind). We had a magical stay. Would def recommend

Good for a short stay - better go to Abraao

Very comfortable toilet xD Beautiful beach and you can get an umbrella and deck chair for free.

They don’t let you bring in food from outside because they have a “restaurant” which only works in the evening, plus you have to preorder the food. It’s also crazy expensive. I recommend you do the laundry prior to coming there, because that is also very expensive (20€ for 10 pieces of underwear!) - and they mixed up our laundry with someone else’s. They kindly offered us a boat tour which would drop us of at Abraao as our next destination if the weather is nice. Reassuring us that it would be possible and without even hinting that the weather is not suitable they cancelled the morning of our departure. Of course we understand the weather is unpredictable (even though that day it was sunny) but then don’t reassure us if you think it’s not 100%🤪 Otherwise it’s good and the staff are nice (even though they don’t speak english).

I had a great time staying at La Coquille in Ilha Grande. Everything was really well taken care of, and I was very happy

The staff were the most friendly people we’ve met on our holiday in Brazil - all of them. Diego especially took very good care of us and gave us recommendations for what to do every day while we were there, so it felt like we got a personal island guide with the price. They also have the cutest little cat, Amore, which we loved being greeted by when we got home.

The wifi connection was very bad in our room. It couldn’t reach our phones, and the tv internet connection also kept on being disconnected from time to time.

Very comfortable and fabulous location

The team at La Coquille and super friendly, helpful and efficient. The room in the pousada are very comfortable and the location absolutely super on the beach. Breakfast good. Great terrace for breakfast and nice communal areas to chill overlooking the beach which from what we could see is unusual.

Great to have a balcony overlooking the beach and sea but this is quite small so not generous for sitting on. Dinner at the pousada could be improved.

Just relaxing and calming

Room with ocean view is definitely worth it! Staff is EXCEPTIONAL!!! All of them are helpful and friendly. Food is really good- Guacamole is awesome. For breakfast they have every day a different, freshly baked cake- amazing! We really enjoyed our stay!

Small bathroom, long stair to get it. Sea view rooms are facing straight west and roofs are not well insulated, so it gets HOT (AA can barely cope). Staff, while super friendly, was not always around. I was charged with “service fee” (10-15%) on all consumptions, even when all those were self served (fridge on common area)

Phenomenal hospitality

I loved just about everything about my stay. The hospitality was phenomenal, Diego is a jewel and made our stay very comfortable, the food was awesome and I loved the overall environment.

Breakfast was great, service was excellent, gentleman named Diego/Jiego took care of everything, got my laundry done, got a free room upgrade, had tours of the island organised. 10/10 would go again.

Power went out occassionally on the first day, but thats an issue of location less than the posaquada.

La Coquille is a pearl!

What a gem! Our room was spacious, the staff and owner were tremendous, the food was delicious, the site was beautiful. This lovely little hotel made it very easy to connect with other guests and make new friends. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast with a freshly baked cake. In the evening, the restaurant offered scrumptious meals . Bravo to the cook! The staff were attentive to our needs, always with a smile. The owner, Fernando, an extraordinary individual, was always ready to help his guests in any way he could. Be it to reserve bus tickets, reserve a spot on the boat to get back to the mainland...thank you so much for your assistance. Ihla Grande is an idyllic location...beautiful beaches, laid back atmosphere, a bit of paradise.

If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track to switch off from the world - this is your place! The food and staff are amazing and the setting is idyllic. I would highly recommend - we will definitely be returning!

Recommended for a laid back stay on beautiful Ilha Grande

Great location, beautiful beach views from the terrace, clean rooms with hot water and airconditioning, very helpful team (especially Ricardo, who helped us a lot with recommendations for hikes and restaurants) and overall good vibes - I would definitely recommend it!

Our room was located close to the breakfast area and the noise insulation was not the best, so it was a bit noisy in the morning

We had an amazing time at La Coquille. Everything was super! Francisco and Ricardo are great hosts, both speaks very good English. We eat at their restaurant everyday because, the food is delicious. They are located in the pristine part of Araçatiba beach and our room had a wonderful view. We definitely recommend and we definitely will return.

Excelente estadía

El personal es súper amable, Diego es muy agradable y atento todo el tiempo. Las habitaciones y espacios compartidos son extremadamente limpios. El desayuno está muy bien, rico y abundante.

Hay pocos enchufes en las habitaciones. Siendo que hay tanta humedad constante, podrían cambiar las toallas al menos una vez.

Elegi este establecimien por las vistas y fotos que me daba booking, era bastante mas caro que los que estaban alrededor pero me gustaban las habitaciones con balcón que tenían, por eso pague. Cuando llegue no me dieron la habitaciones que yo habia visto en las fotos sino otra dentro y sin balcon. Les pregunte por que y me dijeron que las habitaciones tenían nombre y que no habia pedido el nombre de las del balcón. Una persona que visita por primera vez no tiene que saber el nombre de la habitacion. Les pedi que por favor alguien de gestion se informara y me dijeron que me dirían algo pero nunca lo nombraron. La pizza mas cara de mi vida. El establecimin sabia la hora que me iba porque me habían reservado ellos el billete de lancha de vuelta. Pedí una pizza 3 horas antes de mi ida y me la entregaron 2:50 minutos despues. Me pidieron disculpas por la tardanza pero me cobraron una pizza que no pude comer, la tuve que dejar. La pizza mas cara de mi vida!! El establecimiento es correcto y bien situado pero el precio superior al resto de oferta en Araçatiba , y no vale el sobreprecio

Pas de service , chambre très sommaire, le prix du bateau pour Paraty nous a coûté une véritable fortune ( 350€ pour 1h de navigation) , le double de ce qu’ils nous avaient annoncé par mail!

Sieht wirklich aus, wie auf den Fotos. Sehr freundliche Abholung direkt beim Bootssteg. Gute Einführung zum Angebot und Unterkunft. Unkomplizierte Selbstbedienung tagsüber bei den Getränken. Super Lage direkt am Strand und sehr freundlicher Gastgeber und weibliches Personal. Geben gerne Auskunft und Empfehlungen und machen den Aufenthalt äusserst angenehm.

Superbe pousada au calme

J'ai adoré ! La pousada est bien équipée, propre. Le personnel est accueillant et discret. On peut se poser au calme. La vue de la chambre sur la plage est appréciable avec le petit balcon. Ce n'est pas de plain-pied. Jai passé un super séjour. Il y a des restaurants sur la.plage et les repas a la.pousada sont excellents (pêche du jour) ! Ceviche, poisson grillé... loin du bruit d Abraao c'est le bonheur paisible.

Juste avoir du lait frais au petit déjeuner il n'y avait que du lait a la fraise. Mais honnêtement je n'ai pas pensé a demander. Et aussi mettre un rouleau de papier toilette en plus dans la chambre...
