Very well located.
Varied breakfast at a very good price.
Good activities, although a bit repetitive.
Good variety of tours to choose from, with discounts available.
You always have to wait for a bathroom to become available. There are only 5 downstairs for many rooms, which is not enough.
The shower area is always dirty. Since there is only one area on the entire ground floor designated for this, it’s understandable that it gets messy, but it should be cleaned more frequently.
The pool area is not what you see in the photos. I’m sorry, but I really don’t like when places edit images so heavily. It is not beachfront, the trees are now very large and completely block the sunset, and the nice sun shades shown in the pictures are not there. It’s okay, but it’s nothing special.
We stayed for 5 nights and the bedsheets were never changed. Being in a beach area, after 2–3 days a change would definitely be appreciated.
We also had a serious issue with the laundry service. All our clothes were returned tightly compressed in a bag, completely wrinkled. My friend’s shirt came back missing a button, my shorts were torn and I had to throw them away, and 6 pairs of socks were missing. The clothes didn’t even smell clean, and the whites were not properly washed. The price was the same you can pay elsewhere for an express wash, instead of waiting 26 hours.
I absolutely do not recommend using their laundry service. It’s better to take your clothes somewhere else and handle it yourself. The hostel refunded 120 baht out of the 320, but that doesn’t even cover one pair of the Adidas or Puma socks that went missing, not to mention the shorts, the shirt, the wasted time, and the inconvenience.
I hope management takes this seriously and does not overlook this situation.

Location wasn’t too noisy at night, friendly staff, cute cat :) great pool area, they hosted pool parties with free bbqs for guests. Liked the safe by the beds and separate locker room
No fridge / kettle / microwave facilities

Savage hostel is the coolest hostel we’ve ever stayed at. We treated ourself to a stay here for Christmas. The location was perfect, right on sairee beach close to coffee shops and bars etc. the rooftop pool was gorgeous and the staff were lovely. Our room was clean, modern and tidy and we were able to get our laundry done here too.
The main downside of this stay was the size of the room. For the price, we don’t think the room was good value at all. Although it was modern, clean and comfy, for two of us with two big backpacks we barely had room to move. There was no where to store clothes or unpack and we were here for 5 nights. But other than that we’d really recommend savage hostel if you’re wanting a boujeer hostel experience!

Pool and location
The main guy of the staff was very impolite and condescending, not helpful at all. The other two were fine. 4 room bunks are small with no natural light and ac was very cold. Bathrooms are not enough for the amount of people in each floor and get dirty because of that

Amazing location
Friendly and helpful staff
Plenty to do (on the island along with activities organised by the hostel)
Cramped spaces including private room
Communal toilet on the ground floor unclean

Very clean and modern. Right next to the beach and plenty of lovely cafes / bars / restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The pool was a great highlight too
The air conditioning unit above the bed leaked on us occasionally and there was a bad smell coming from the drains in the bathroom

Location is amazing as you’re only 30 seconds away from the beach. It was perfect for catching the sunset each evening. Staff were super friendly and welcoming!

Great location with beautiful cafe and beach and beach outfront. Rooftop pool was a nice place to relax
Very inconvenient having lockers in a seperate hall. Also only 3 toilets and 3 showers for the entire floor. Mixed boys/girls shower facilities. Not super social

Comfy beds, good air conditioning and all the essentials are there. Cute cat living downstairs. Also a very nice pool on the rooftop and a great location at the beach and in the middle of the center I guess. You can have breakfast downstairs and there are plenty of places to chill/hangout. I booked 3 extra night bc I love this place so much
When I arrived in my dorm at 2am, I saw two cockroaches crawling on the floor. I found that some of the staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming (though a few were!). And I think Savage is not a very social hostel. I think the staff could be a bit more enthusiastic and maybe organize more group activities to encourage guests to connect. Just my personal opinion. Would def go back though! X

The location is amazing
The lockers for the luggage were out of the room, really far away. My roommates decided to put their staff on the floor so we didn't have any room to walk. There were only 3 toilets for all the dorms. Out of them only 1 for women and 2 for men. The toilets were sometimes really dirty. The staff were nice and the hike that the hostel organized was nice as well. I wanted to get a new towel and they told me that I can do it only once every two days.
The roof was really nice with a view and a pool and many sitting areas.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, lovely rooftop pool.
The smell of the drain in the bathroom was unbearable - the staff tried to fix it for us - but it came back later the same day. In the end we had to permanently close the door to our en-suite and only use the shared bathroom intended for the dorms. (We were in a private room)

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel was in a great location surrounded by cafes , shops and restaurants and close to the beach!
The room was cleaned everyday which really helped due to it being so small.
We got the private room and it was incredibly small. We are used to staying in hostels and have stayed in some very tiny rooms but this one we could not fit our things in and we struggled to shower, get ready and organise due to the lack of space. If we were to come again we’d only manage the one night I think - three was far too much!

Location, beds were so comfortable and an amazing cafe at reception
Pool a little shallow but the sun beds were amazing

I like almost everything at Savage, nice rooms, good location, great services, and provides activities for guest.
What I like the most is the room. Even it is a shared dorm but the bed is like a capsule pod with no noise compared to bunk bed. It is also spacious enough to put some stuff and even have a safe.
Highly recomendeded 💙
Some equipment needs a little more care. The door at my room was broken and staff fixed it already, but you need an extra push otherwise the beep sounds come and it was a little annoying.

Beds are comfy and private in the shared hostels with good linen. Staff are very nice and willing to help. It is a good space for co-working but bear in mind that sometimes wifi cuts out for a minute or 2 (can be annoying if on a call). Downstairs is ventilated but noisy, upstairs is quiet to work but no fan so overall - ok to work. there is also a co-working space 4 min drive away called blacktip if you really need quiet and office space (300 baht per day).
Excellent location
good overall but toilets kept breaking - this is due to tourists flushing paper down so not the hostels fault but annoying nonetheless!

Hostel is in a perfect location, 10min walk from the ferry. Rooms and communal areas extremely clean, beds are probably the comfiest of all the hostel I’ve stayed at. Layout of the rooms is great and provides loads of privacy. Pool was great too. And also the activities, definitely go on the hike! It’s sweaty and tough but definitely worth doing!
The only downside was the laundry service they use. They’ve stained ALL of my clothes and it was first week of my holidays. I know it’s not really the hostels fault but it put a right downer just before leaving

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was well priced. Pool was well sized. Good location. Nice to have daily room service and drinking water. The discount for scuba diving with the BBD company was also a nice bonus, we’d recommended.
It was too expensive for the size and quality of the room (e.g stained and ripped bedding). The private room was incredibly small. It was not big enough for one. The bathroom was also far too small for a beach front hostel. The water smelt of sewage and made the room smell most times of the day/night even with an air freshener. If it was cheaper (considering it was low season) then it would score higher.

Amazing hostel, It's great location to stay because easy to find food, enjoy beach and find interest activities around there. Staff are love and helpful. Love this!!

Honestly, this place overdelivers. Super clean rooms, comfy beds, and the rooftop pool? Absolute game-changer. Waking up, grabbing a coffee, and jumping in the pool with a view of the island – that alone makes it worth it.
The staff were chill but super helpful, always up for a chat or giving local tips. Great location too – a short walk to the beach, dive shops, bars, and food spots. Whether you’re there to relax, dive, or party a bit, this place strikes a perfect balance.
Nothing comes to mind

Really nice hostel and well maintained common areas. Social but respectful of sleeping time. I joined both the sunrise rooftop yoga and the adventure hike they organized and I enjoyed them very much. The location is also great to enjoy the beach, nice restaurants and depart to other areas of the island.
I am very satisfied with my stay and highly recommend the place. I have only one remark, which I am aware is highly subjective: I felt there was a bit of discrepancy between the service levels offered by the desk personnel but nothing really upsetting. While one of the guys was very professional and welcoming and helpful whenever I needed help or a service, with the other one I felt frustrated whenever I had an interaction.

Excellent location short walk from main bars and right over from the beach. Lots of really comfortable seating around the pool. Nice events such as free hikes, movie nights etc. Comfortable beds, and lots of privacy, they did have safes next to the beds but not all seemed to work. Staff were really friendly and helpful any issues were dealt with properly and quickly.
No space in dorms for larger bags but they did it provide lockers. Aircon wasn’t very strong so got quite warm but I think that may have just been an issue in the particular dorm I was in.

Great rooftop pool and location is amazing.
Dorms are very dark which made it very difficult to do anything. Also you have to store your bags in a different room which is inconvenient and for the price of this hostel I would have expected it. The corridor also did smell of feet quite badly - there were no windows so this may have contributed to this. The bunk beds were so high up - it was difficult to get anything or go up and down.

The location was good. On the main road but not right in the middle.
The decoration of the hostel is nice. Makes it look high-end.
My room was very very small. There is hardly any space for thr suitcase. As a single traveller it was fine. But if I were travelling with someone else, there would be no space. The bathroom is also very small and has no space for your toilettries.
The only thing that really bothered me was the smell if sewage from the bathroom. It helped to have the door to the bathroom permenantly closed, but that is the only thing that would make me reconsider staying in the hostel again.

I really liked the location and how clean the rooms and bathrooms were. The beds poss were also very comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
We stayed in a 6 bed dorm, it had no windows and was very small and no where to put your bags and clothes. You had to store you belongings in a lockers in a different corridor so was a little annoying.

Nothing.
