Fab place, excellent location

The hotel was through a busy alley right on the beach. Reception on your right. We were 2 couples in rooms on 1st floor, excellent rooms right on beach, with sea view. Hotel was well maintained. The bar adjacent the smoking dead was vibrant but did not disturb us at night as was mostly wrapped up by midnight and we r in our 60's. Room was cleaned every day with comfortable beds and light quilt. Shower and bathroom large and worked well. Kettle and 2 free bottles of water every day with clean towels. Hairdryer provided and plenty of toilet roll. Staff excellent and booked return ferry with them and they dropped us at port. Area is mainly young but plenty of bars and eating places. We loved the vibe. Plenty of beach bars only 1 min away to watch sunset. Would highly recommend the Grand beach resort. Thanks for an excellent stay.

The hotel is great, the room is nice and good price, the staff very friendly and helpful. If the room was available, there are willing to let you check in early. It’s located in sairee next to the beach and few walk to nightlife streets. I have been there for 3rd time and would be back again

Amazing location and the sweetest most helpful staff! It’s the second year in a row I’ve booked here and I loved the stay. The room is comfortable and clean and Demo will help you with everything you need around the island

Had what we needed.

We were walking distance from all the great shopping spots, the "lady boy" caberet show etc. We were a stone-throw away from the beach and had many great restaurants around to choose from.

would stay again! owner was excellent

this was such a great stay! it is perfect location- 20 seconds to the beach and 2 minutes to all the main shops. the owner of this hotel is the BEST he was so friendly and helpful and kind. he really made our time here even better. the room (triple room) was very nice and spacious and comfortable. the wifi was also very good. we had a problem with our air con and this was resolved very promptly. i would 100% recommend here and stay again.

there were a few mosquitos in the room which did bite. not sure how they got in! but wasn’t an overwhelming issue

A long walk if you have a lot of luggage

It is not clear on the booking.com site regarding the fact that if you have a lot of luggage the taxi from the pier is only 4 Minutes but then you will need to walk about 6 minutes alone with all your luggage...in my case, I had to do 3 walking trips back and forth wasting almost an hour of my time - the last thing you want after 30 hours of planes cars and ferries .... also the door to the room has so many cracks not just above and below but circumferencing the rectangular design were cracked enough to let in light from the outside totaling about 2 feet to 3 feet of open cracks also...letting in both light AND bugs....and a curious person could actually look in the center of the door and see you! The night AFTER my stay ...the price was 33$ CAD...the. night of my stay (last night) was 64$CAD. Although the deceptive image of the room WAS MY ROOM, it fails to show that the door has large cracks in it and that loud party noise is right outside the balcony it's overpriced and the lighting is not comfortable it's the bright white clinical lighting lacking comfortable atmosphere Hotel should be still providing instead of treating people like they are insects drawn to fluorescent lights it is disrespectful to go along with the idea that we will save energy by putting these bright white annoying lights yellow is much more comfortable this is across the industry issue though and not specific to this hotel

Really nice stay!

Nice small hostel a few meters away from the beach - quiet enough to be able to sleep in spite of the music and bars all around. The room is great, beds are comfy with A/C and fans at night. Two bathrooms are available in the room and you can get a locker with a deposit for the key. Really nice stay for a week!

The main door is never locked so anyone can enter the room (the big bags don't go in the locker).

Right on the beach

No common/shared space to hang out in. Only option was the room. Being a mixed 10 bed it would’ve been nice to have another space to be in.

Almost perfect.

A spacious room with nicely sized beds, good common area space, great sinks and bathrooms. The staff were fantastic and even accepted and paid upfront for a package I had delivered to the property, trusting I would pay them back. Right on the beach and a minute walk from the high street too!

The bunk beds are shallow so you habe to watch your head. There are also no privacy curtains which is always a ding to great property.

Lovely hostel with great beds

They had super comfy beds and a great location right at the beach. The facilities were very clean and the dormitory was actually quiet all night long. There were a lot of parking spots available. And the staff was super helpful and very nice. They also let me borrow a helmet for free..

The staff was quite relaxed so plan in a little more time while checking out early in the morning.. The only real downside were the bathrooms that had a strong smell of mold to them.

Don't make our mistake....

Location was the only positive for this hotel. The staff were helpful and kind with giving us a partial refund.

The bed was very hard and impossible to sleep on so much so that we checked out early. Rooms were unclean with stained bed sheets and stains/marks all over the furniture. Also had mold above the Aircon unit which had started to spread around the ceiling.

Overall a good value relative to your options, with a. few areas for improvement

The location is excellent just steps from the beach and in the most lively part of town. Many good bars and restaurants around. The noise didn’t bother me. The room is comfortable and even has a partial sea view which is nice. I like that it had a mini fridge and a small desk. Compared to other options in the vicinity, the price (I paid 900 baht) was fair for what was received and less than many properties located further from the beach.

The property is a bit dated. a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint would go a long way towards refreshing it. As others have mentioned the bed is quite hard, although I was still able to sleep ok. Finally, the property manager is rarely at the front desk. Instead he has a doorbell, and after you ring it he comes maybe 5-10 min later. when I arrived I was worried they were closed because the door was locked and all the lights were off, even though it was during the reception hours. He is super nice and he helped me make copies of my paperwork for immigration, but it was a bit of a drag to have to wait 5-10 min anytime you wanted to make a simple request (such as a room cleaning, which you have to ask for and leave your key behind)
