Convenient guesthouse off the main Sairee area

This was a little hidden gem as a last minute book in Sairee. Very comfortable space, lots of storage, hot water and WiFi worked well, and a large room with fridge and kettle.

There were quite a few ants so you have to be very careful about food in the room, but that is common across the island.

30’ walk from the pier but in a more quiet and peaceful location, staff was nice and helpful. the little shared balcony is very homey in the evening 🍀 room and bathroom were super clean too!

Very recommended!

My stay here was great!! The location is great, the rooms are clean and the service is good. The hostel is very quiet and peaceful. The lady in the reception is the sweetest and helped me a lot, she helped me with extending my visa and even gave me a ride to the immigration office for a very cheap price! Unfortunately when I wanted to stay more nights they were fully booked, but they helped me get a room in a hotel they work with for the same price. Very recommended :)

Good

The location of the property is perfect and the rooms were clean

There was a powercut for 2 full days meaning no air con no lights (which is a problem as there isn’t much natural light at all) and we lost water at one point too. I understand this can be an island wide issue, however we didn’t know this and when asking the staff if they had any idea when it’d all be back on she just laughed and said no. I’m not one to be negative at all but the laughing just made me a little uncomfortable. We’ve had power cuts in other places and little bits of compensation were provided which make the world of difference.

Unpleasant

Central to Sairee area

The property felt very unsafe, there were no staff around from 8pm onwards and the main staircase to the rooms was visible from the main road. The door lock was not secure, and there was no safe in the rooms. The hotel staff were not friendly nor helpful, and did not make us feel welcome at all. We had to leave the property 3 days early, having paid for 5 night total, due to an emergency. We asked the staff about a potential refund and they refused, we then asked to speak to the manager, we were told she was asleep so to come back at 7pm. At 7pm we were told she still was not around and to come back at 8. However, at 8pm the reception closed and so we could not speak to the manager. In the morning we were quickly hurried out of the hotel. Our experience overall was not the best, and we felt extremely unwelcome from the get go. This is very unfortunate.

Would recommend staying here

Spacious double room with a kettle, fridge, aircon & a fan. Really good location to the town & beach. Fairly quiet as just on the edge of the main town. Staff were friendly and helpful. We extended our stay with no issues. Shared bathrooms were cleaned everyday, throughout the day. (Just sometimes guests left them messy!)

Great location very close to the beach. Quiet apart from the road as we had the room at the front. Good size room.

Too bright with thin curtains in the front room but I imagine other rooms don't get much natural light. Doors didn't feel too secure.

nice place to stay but a bit over priced

nice spacious room in a great location close to lots of bars and restaurants. scuba shack is opposite too which is a great place to learn to scuba dive. the staff are very nice and helpful and helped us to book our boat to our next place

a bit overpriced for what it’s worth, the doors on the room are also very temperamental and hard to lock. when we arrived there was also a leak in the toilet however the staff were very helpful and got it fixed that same day

Nice location close to everything but away from the bars, room was a good size and had plenty of storage. staff helped to book a transfer to the onward ferry for a good price.

Have to pay extra for aircon and the room gets very hot even with fans, lack of drinking water and cold showers. Bed sheet provided was not very substantial especially for two sharing a double. A little overpriced I’d say but accom is expensive on the island

very basic, not offered to clean. the light would come through the curtain easily. air conditioning was so loud, a very deep bass. if the fan wasn’t there then I would have really struggled to sleep.

Missing some basic hotel necessities but an overall pleasant stay if you don’t expect much.

We loved how centrally located it was but also far enough that it was quiet at night (for the most part.) The room was quaint with lots of storage. We were also thrilled to have a taxi ride included to the pier when we booked our ferry back through reception. AC was great (just make sure you book the room with AC).

Shower pressure was non-existent; it was mist. And it was hot for only one of the four days of our stay. Despite the sign we left on our door indicating that we’d like our room cleaned, it was only cleaned the second last day. I actually had to go to reception and ask for garbage bags and toilet paper.

Nice location, we walked here easily form the ferry in about 30 minutes. There are beaches, dive centres and restaurants all nearby but without causing any noise pollution.

This place is in a great location, just off of the busy streets. Short walk to the beach. Room is spacious and quiet. We extended our stay here for more time as we liked it so much.

Location is good but I won't be staying again, it's grand but the ants were everywhere

Location was good spacious rooms

Beds were hard. Insects in the room almost like small ants everywhere. Out of the many nights we stayed, only once was the shower hot. When returning the key, we needed to ask for the key deposit back after 10 minute. Room doesn't get cleaned even with the please clean room we put hanging on door.
