Decent Stay in Koh Tao for backpackers!

The receptionist/owner downstairs is nice and running a one woman show it seems like. The location is right in the action of Koh Tao and right off the main street. Quiet at night for sleeping. Private Rooms are spacious with a nice full length mirror.

The equipment in the room - the shower head was too flimsy and sprayed water everywhere, the toilet paper and towels were not refreshed unless reminded a few times downstairs. Reception looks run down and the place looks more like a travel desk than a proper hostel/hotel. I mainly didn't like the lack of bathroom amenities.

Ideal location. Basically bang smack in the middle of town area. Clean and tidy. Good value for money

We didn’t rent scooters from the hostel but I wouldn’t recommend it as we saw about 5 different groups all having issues when they went to return them (lady looked super anal checking them over). The air conditioning doesn’t work unless you pay to somehow unlock it which is annoying.

The location was perfect close to the 7/11 and nice restaurants , the room was spacious

We first booked a fan room but it was too hot so had to pay for aircon , no fault of the hotel just for people to bare in mind

Central location. Near many restaurants, 7/11 and not too far from the beach. Quite big room and a big fridge.

3rd floor without a lift and steep stairs. Bed was hard which is very common in every accomodation in Thailand. Fan foom in May was too hot. I recommend an AC room.

Not the best but a place to stay if you need it

Bathroom was pretty good and clean, was nice and big to hang my clothes up and not get them wet.

Room smelt of rotting wood. Air con didn’t come on until 7pm which is pretty normal for the island though. No lock on the door which made me feel a bit nervous as a solo female traveller. There is only one lady running the show so she was very busy trying to tend to everyone so you have to be patient and wait to be seen sometimes for a while.

The lady who works here is nice enough, although i did see a few arguments about scooter damage returns. Its right in the centre of sairee as the name suggests so easy to get to the main spots. The room layout is spacious and you get a big wardrobe to lock stuff in.

The facilities at this hostel were pretty bad. No toilet paper ever. No soap for the sink to wash your hands. The light on my side of the room didnt work so it was always dark. The aircon either didnt work sometimes or just wasnt switched on, as the lady working there keeps hold of the remote. Only 1 shower for seemingly many rooms and people. It would be much better with just these basic necessities taken care of.

Insanely overpriced for what it was. Quite dismissive lady who worked there. When I was checked in, she came in and tidied up whilst I was in there which was a bit weird as it was 2 hours after normal check in - fine for a hostel but this was an expensive hotel.

close to a 7-11, restaurants and a short walk to the beach. very big, specious room with a big bed that was very comfy. mini fridge & aircon

I stayed here 5 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned once. my bins were piling up and by the end there was sand everywhere. water pressure wasn’t great & kept going off. also could get loud at night, especially if you have loud neighbours. would have been nice to have a kettle

central location and really close to the beach and bars. The room was large and the shower was lovely.

Sadly the bed was not very uncomfortable. We stayed in a private room and the mattress lays on top of a solid surface like a brick wall, so it was very hard.

Central to Sairee Beach and loads of food options nearby. Slept really well. No issues with noise. Good value. Fridge in room worked.

I think it is a bit weird that we have to pay a refundable deposit of 1000 thb for the key and 2 towels. The towels aren't even very nice. Personally, the sairee area is really touristy and we've stayed in other areas of Koh Tao which are much nicer. Everything is a max 10 min scoot from everywhere so doesn't really matter though. Also a bit weird that there was no toilet paper and when we asked for some the host wrote down our room number....
