Good rooms, great location, beautiful rooftop!

Location was great! In walking distance to the Old Town and Mogren Beach. Room size was good and everything very functional, amazing rooftop as well. Polina the receptionist was very sweet and even printed out our bus tickets for us. Laundry services offered at €5.

Our booking gave us a time for breakfast and we were also told the times when we checked in. However, on the second day we were told that breakfast wasn’t included which seemed strange.

Simple review

The layout of the room is nice with a great view over Budva city. They also have a terrace on level 7, which is nice. Daily cleanup service was provided, which is a nice touch. I had breakfast included that helped to start the day, although the variety was a bit minimal.

Overall, the experience I had was nice due to the fact that I didn't spend much time other than sleeping. The doors were screaming for some oil on the hinges, and the water heater had calcar, so I didn't use it. There was some water spillage when using the shower but nothing a few towels can't solve.

Very disappointing

We arrived at the place and were surprised to be charged additional fees, which included insurance and a service fee. We didn’t understand why, but we paid. Afterwards, we entered the room, where the air conditioner was dripping. When we went to the reception, we were surprised to find that no one was there, as it turned out they only work until 17:00. We tried calling the guesthouse contact person, but he didn’t answer. Eventually, he replied via WhatsApp messages and said that someone would come in the evening to fix the air conditioner. When we asked to move to another room, he didn’t respond. We told him that the floor was flooded with water and it was impossible to stay in the room because of the dripping noise, but then he stopped responding. After three hours, someone came, looked at the air conditioner, and said that they would fix it the next day. In the end, throughout our entire stay, no one ever came to fix it.

Loved the beautiful view of the sea. The hotel is close to the sea and the old town, with plenty of dining options around. We appreciated the option to check in at 10am.

Incomprehensible cleaning regime and content, for example, one of the double beds had no duvet covers, the children slept covered with large towels, when the covers appeared - some of the pillows disappeared, cleaning was not done every day. Breakfast definitely requires improvement, the coffee was not good. The reception was not customer-oriented, reserved, it was also not available on site and could not be reached on the provided phone. Disturbing music was heard in the stairwell on some nights. Poor sound insulation from the street (windows, walls) - all noises from the city and the street were completely audible. I did not like the hotel owners solving private issues in the presence of customers. And the end of it all was the non-arrival of the scheduled transfer to the airport (6 am!). The response to our message came after we had quickly found another way to get to the airport. Needless to say, we did not even receive an apology.

Very ordinary

The location is the good thing about this accommodation as it is close to the Old Town,

The closeness to the Old Town brings high sound levels both from the main road behind the building and the street below - this is not helped by the terrace door being left open (lock is broken). Accommodation is basic with a clear sign stating that rooms would be cleaned between 9-12 each day if you left the clean sign outside. We did this each morning before 9 and on no day was the room cleaned before 12. 1 day it was cleaned properly and 2 other days a towel was changed. On 2 other days the room was not cleaned. There is also a sign about not leaving melon out because of ants - we did not have melon, but there were a lot of ants. There is a reasonable selection of different foods each morning however the cooked food was always cold.

The location.

The staff (two men) were totally drunken when we checked in. The second evening the staff forgot to keep the garage door open, so we needed to park the car into a private parking place. They paid back the costs of the parking. The breakfast was bad quality, the variety small and you needed to ask the fulfillment continuously.

We enjoyed our stay

The hotel is located walking distance from the old city and near supermarket and a mall. We booked the apartment and it was excellent for two adults and two kids. Clean and comfortable.

We wished there was a microwave. Would have make the kitchen even better.

Location

Where do I start? We were unable to access the hotel by road as there was a huge crater down the middle of it with exposed pipes, piles of gravel. It wasn’t lit at night, which was hazardous. I had my 78-year-old mother with me so I spent the whole four days in a panic that she would hurt herself. Staff was supposed to man the reception between eight and five, but we never saw anybody. There was nobody there at night. The reception was in darkness. We couldn’t access the roof Terrace as it was locked. There was a bad smell in my bathroom. The fridge in my mother’s room hadn’t been switched on. I am confused as to why this property is still being advertised on your website when it clearly shouldn’t be open to the public in its current state. When I emailed the hotel direct with my complaint, they had the audacity to say I hadn’t informed them of any mobility issues. I am very unhappy with the experience and the money that it cost my mother and I. We were very looking forward to our holiday and this situation put a huge dampener on it.

Hotel Garni is a great 3-star hotel in Budva, right in the city center. The staff was wonderful, the rooms comfortable and everything was close by. Breakfast was excellent.

The Internet was a bit slower, but this might not be the case during high season.

It was clean, very central.

The room was nice and clean, also quiet although on the first floor facing the street. It was a bit narrow for two people to move in the room. Breakfast was not with many choices. Also wifi has a weak signal.
