Great budget option in Strasbourg

The location was good and only 20 mins walk to the Centre and Petit France. Also not far from the train station. The staff were helpful and I liked the fact they had vending machines available. My room on 2nd floor was clean and comfy and the shower was fine. I would say this is more of a single/couple hotel rather than a family.

The area was quite dark after 22:00

The breakfast was good, and the location was acceptable and convenient for getting around the city.

The staff could have been more friendly. The room was very small, and the curtains were not opaque, which made us uncomfortable as the inside of the room was visible from outside. We also experienced an issue where our wallet went missing. We cannot be certain whether it was lost or stolen at the hotel, but when we contacted the hotel to ask about it, we did not receive any response, which was disappointing.

Clean, comfortable and well located.

The location was great, very close to the train station and just a short walk from the old town. The room is comfortable and there is a place to cook, though I didn't use it. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room was pretty small, but as a solo traveler, I didn't need more.

There is a smell, I couldn't tell where it came from. It's not horrible or overwhelming but it's there. But it's not a reason not to book this place, specially if you're a single traveller looking for affordable accomodation.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Nothing positive

Bathroom door jammed. No double bed. Ridiculously small. Not the best clientele. Outside the hotel seemed sketchy. The reality compared to the photos was miles apart

It’s a great location if you wanna explore the city center and arrive by train. For the price it’s fair!

Easy to walk from the train station to the hotel. 15 minutes walk into the city center. Location was great!! Great value for money. Good beds, nice kitchen and it wasn’t noisy at night, but our window was not next to the train tracks.

I was woken up in the middle of the night by the fire alarm, and unfortunately, I don’t think the staff handled the situation very professionally. The receptionist initially only explained what was happening in French, and only after I asked did he provide an explanation in English. He also stood uncomfortably close to my face while speaking, which made me feel uneasy. The bathroom could use some maintenance (the wall paint was peeling, the sink didn’t drain properly). That said, I would still consider coming back. For the price, it’s a perfectly reasonable place to stay. Just hope you don’t get woken up by a fire alarm like I did!

It was alright for what we paid but some things could definitely be improved.

The room was clean and it was in a nice location, pretty close to the centre

We had trouble with the room card not working properly. One of the beds was a pull out bed like a drawer and the room looked bigger in the pictures. To borrow a hairdryer you need to leave an ID at the front desk. There was very little water pressure. There weren't enough towels.

If you need a bed and a bathrom with breakfast, this is your place

Montempo has good location and offers simple but OK rooms for affordable price. Great choice for business trips and for budget travelers who only want a bed and a shower. And there is a simple but good breakfast option only for 7€! They even offer cold french milk with the breakfast which made my day.

Ok for 1-2 nights but couldn’t stay longer.

Seemed a half-house / temporary accommodation for people/ families of different Nationalities rather than a hotel. Gatherings outside at night were noisy in the evenings, room was really dirty, shower was a dribble with no pressure, many kitchenette items were missing, bedding was stained, room was not like Booking dot com images. Ridiculous charges for room cleaning and other standard hotel amenities.

So disappointing ..

Only distance to public transportation was ok..

We booked a room with 2 single bed but there was only one bed and something you cant call as a bed !!! So disappointing , there is nothing same as the booking.com hotels advertisement photos . Room was too small for 2 people and no second bed .When you set up foldout bed there is no space to move around, even to open our suitcases. Also matresses and pillows were not comfortable at all .I could not sleep and nearly fall down several times because matresses was slipping down on fold out bed . When we asked if there is an available room with double bed as seen on the pictures , we have been told all rooms have only one single bed and a foldout bed!!! I always book my trip with booking.com but this is the only time we did not like at all .

I didn’t like how the staff got to check-in all the guests who arrived after while I had to wait 2 hours telling me that my room was not ready. I understand their 2PM check-in policy but if rooms are available before that time it should be on first come basis and everyone else needs to wait their turn.

Good value for money.

The room and the hotel themselves were really good. I did not expect it to be this clean and this well equipped for the money that they offered.

Unfortunately my room had an air vent turn on and it was not possible to turn it off; thus every night I had to manage to fall asleep with a noise. The railway was not an issue. That vent on the other hand was.

The hotel is very close to the train station and to a metro stop very well connected to the rest of the city. The area it's located in feels a bit sketchy though... as two girls we didn't feel the safest especially as it got dark. Overall we didn't have any serious problems. The staff was kind, everything worked quite well. We didn't get breakfast as we wanted to try a cafe in the city centre, however we saw a lot of people eating there and the food looked good.

It wasn't the cleanest and there was a strange and annoying noise that probably came from the refrigerator (or another device, not sure) that could disturb some at night.

Best Stay for the Price!

Clean, Comfortable, and the location was great… Walking distance to Strasbourg, Cathedral and rail station. The staff was friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. I would definitely stay there again!

No parking at the facility … the closest secured parking was a 10 minute walk, located by the Museum…Parcus Centre Historique Petite France €12 per day .
