Our apartment was wonderful, clean, extreamly spacious and absolutely perfect for a family of 5. Beautiful mountain view from our apartment. The lift up to the apartment meant getting up and down with luggage and up and down daily with our children and buggy was seemless. Location was amazing, literally in the heart of the village within minutes walk of the train station, grindlewald first and a supermarket literally next door. As our apartment was self catering, we didnt have breakfast included in our stay and mostly were out early in the morning and ate on the go, but we did have it one morning and it was a lovely breakfast. We choose parking as we had a car rental, very reasonable 5chf per day, cost us 35 for the week and its just across the road from the hotel so ideal. We could not fault our stay, it was truely wonderful and when we return in the future to grindlewald, I wouldnt consider staying anywhere else now! Highly recommend, we loved it.
Towel changes are charged extra, it would be nice if a mid stay towel refresh was included in the price for those staying a week but this is only a minor detail and does now take away from how wonderful and charming the Hotel Herschen is.
