A fantastic surprise! Cosy and charming little cottage apartment . Well appointed with amazing views. Staff so helpful and friendly. We would love to go again. Great for walking on the nearby hills and close to Keswick.
It was perfect for us

Everything, the accommodation, location excellent. The facilities were great, high quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely welcome by Lorraine's husband. The view from apartment 9 wonderful, to see from the breakfast table in the morning. The shower was lush, never looked forward to a shower so much. It was very warm and snuggly, the bed was a queen size, felt spoilt. We had a truly wonderful stay and will be back.
Tight squeeze (between buildings/drainpipe) to through to car park space 9 as our car is big, however Lorraine's husband said it was fine to park in another not being used, so not really an issue.

Warm and cozy during a spell of very cold weather
Fortunately units 7 and 8 were unoccupied. If they had been in use, parking for three cars outside the property would have been almost impossible.
The smell from the plug in air freshener and febreze (?) was unpleasant and over-powering. My clothes were still smelling of it when I got home

Very clean and comfortable. Obviously recently modernised/decorated. Had everything I needed. Dog friendly. Wonderful view from lounge and dining room. Very quiet location in small village close to Keswick and other attractions eg Whinlatter Forest, Bassenthwaite and Buttermere. 2 dog friendly pubs and a dog friendly coffee shop in the village. Village shop. Good bus service.
Parking was a bit tricky but luckily I only have a small car.

Really fantastic location with spacious rooms and everything we needed for our short trip. Huge bed!! We liked the folder with some advice on walks around the local area.
Parking was almost impossible, rooms had a sweaty mould-like smell to them with mould visible especially in the bathroom.

Great location and very comfortable. Perfect if you want walks on your doorstop.
The parking was a slight issue, the driveway between the two properties is extremely tight and we had to ask other guests to move their cars so that we could access our parking spot.

Cosy place for if you want to stay in and great location if you want to go out. Place was clean and tidy. Nice big bed, great living room set up with good TV options, good shower. Pubs down the road are nice and short drive to Keswick or a couple of the lakes. Lovely views from the window.
The property could use a bit of a refresh, guides were very out of date, some of the kitchen items were broken or very tired (found a colander with the handle melted off). Taking stock of what’s there and replacing a few bits would show a bit more care put into it and make it feel a bit better value for money.
With driving, leaving the property there’s quite a blind spot to your right so be cautious there - and like other reviews mentioned, a small car is a squeeze through the passageway to get to the designated parking, and with other guests staying it’s very tight - luckily it was only us and one other but I wouldn’t book here with a long or medium/ large vehicle.

Good location in the village - short distance to the campsite where family were residing.
Difficulty parking my car (in the allocated space.

Room sizes are great, loved having a separate living room.
Perfect location!
Looking a bit shabby, chipped walls and ceilings. Would be wonderful with a bit more TLC. Unfortunately the microwave was not clean, and the cutlery was very mismatched and different sizes!
Disappointed there was no shower gel or soap.

Layout was brilliant and bed was very comfortable. Lovely places to eat locally and the village shop was great.
Cleanliness was an issue. Dirty crockery and cutlery and lots of cobwebs. Paint coming off walls in places and needs some TLC.
Very early morning noise from guests in cottage below which resulted in being woke up before 0600 each day.

Location, mountain views and very comfy bed!
Water pressure for the shower was very poor. Parking for Cottage 9 is only accessible for a small/ medium sized car (and a confident driver). Plenty of free road parking nearby though!

Good location, near Keswick. Quiet, comfortable, well equipped apartment.
The parking was a bit awkward. Allocated space right outside, but difficult to get to because of very narrow entrance, and blocked a couple of times by people staying in the same courtyard complex who didn’t seem to have enough room for their car. All spaces were very tight, unless you have a micro car.

This is our 3rd stay in these cottages. We love the location, the cottage is a really nice size for two and Braithwaite is a gorgeous little village.

Location, a beautiful village with a shop, pubs, restaurant, cafe and walks from the door step.
The cottage 9 upstairs, had beautiful views of the fells.
The cottage was very clean, comfortable and modernised inside. Lovely furniture.
Shower was efficient and of a good size but the door got stuck at the bottom so was a challenge getting out.

Fantastic location. Clean comfortable upstairs apartment. Dog friendly. Outside courtyard with seats where we could enjoy the weather.
Parking is tight especially for those with bigger cars.

Location was excellent. Bed large and comfortable. Lovely view from the table out over the hills. Key left in latch as we checked in a 5, so a very easy check in.
Parking quite tight due to inconsiderate guests in other flats, luckily we didn't but may be quite tricky if you drive an SUV.

Stayed in No 9. It was lovely and spacious and the bed was huge! Really good location for Keswick and walking. Couldn't fault it 👌

No breakfast so not applicable. Great location, scenic and handy for Keswick and local pub and walks. Shop nearby and coffee shop too. Bus stop nearby.
Only minor suggestions. A full length mirror in the bedroom and hairdryer in the bedroom rather than the utility room. No reception for smart tv although main channels were fine. A squeegie for the shower would benefit the owners for keeping removing surplus water after a shower.

Lovely flat. Great facilities with friendly owner and lovely little village.
Don't like that we only booked two nights. Will definitely be back.

Stunning views of the mountains.
Lovely village, 1 minute walk away from a shop, pub and coffee shop.

Area was so quiet and peaceful which made it even more relaxing.

Lovely little home from home. Great value for money. Location perfect. Bed so comfortable. We'd love to come back!
An L shaped sofa would top this place off. For comfort, as I wasn't well, my partner and I had a sofa each, it would be just something extra to make it a bit more comfortable.
Thought it a bit strange to ask people to get a hoover out before leaving! We always leave properties in a more than reasonable state but to hoover before departure is a step too far. In my opinion, unless something drastic has occured.

property was really clean, a good size. liked the little separate porch and trays for boots outside so able to keep coats and boots out of the way. it was quiet and couldn’t hear other guests. heating allowed it to be warm. amazing views as it was first floor.
living room area was a little basic. would have been nice if some essentials such as milk/tea left for you however there is a shop to buy these and we brought most things. sometimes a little milk etc is a nice extra touch. we weren’t aware it was a first floor flat. being called a cottage we assumed a cottage and must have missed this description. having 2 dogs we wouldn’t normally look at none ground floor flats however it didn’t cause us a problem and would stay again, we were just worried the people below us heard us!
