About this cottage rental
The Hayloft is the largest of 5 beautiful and comfortable self catering cottages clustered around the courtyard of an historic North Devon farm. Set down a long driveway with no noise or passing traffic, Northcote Manor Farm (which was mentioned in the Domesday Book) is the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing break.
The Hayloft has an open plan living/dining and kitchen area on the first floor which comfortably accommodates 6 people and has a mezzanine floor above. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms: a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, 2 twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. The cottage also has a private, enclosed garden which benefits from sunshine all day and which overlooks the fields.
Northcote Manor Farm offers a heated, covered swimming pool set in a beautiful walled garden as well as a games room with table tennis, pool table, table football and lots of toys and games. There is a playground and large trampoline as well as a football field for children.
The property is set in the middle of 34 acres of woods and fields including a stream and offering wonderful walking right from the cottage door. Dogs are welcome in the cottage and love the setting!

2nd time we have been stayed in thd hayloft lovely cottage plenty of room for a family of 6 and our dog as dog friendly. Everything you need comfortable clean and fenced garden overlooking sheep. Lovely covered swimming pool never busy and great games room for the kids and adults too. Aiden is very accommodating and very helpful. 10mins drive to combe Martin and not much further to ilfracombe or lynton and Lynmouth. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The hayloft was beautiful spacious and clean. Private garden looking over sheep fields. Games room and pool were brilliant. So quiet and near to combe Martin. Aiden was very helpful and nice. Would definitely go back.

We received no check in details before our arrival and the only information came after we asked our host how we get into the property. No details were given about whether we could park outside the property or whether to use the car park we encountered on arrival. The road was closed getting to the house. We received no notification of this and eventually found a local builder to drive us to a place where the road was open and we could reach the property. We arrived in good time in plenty of light but by the time we found a way to bypass the road closure it was pitch black at the house. In the dark conditions I scratched my car wheels against a wall, a really bad start to the holiday which could have been avoided by decent information from the host.
The property itself was nice with most things catered for. The house has a shared pool but there seems to be no booking system to avoid 2 families arriving at the same time. The big problem we had was in drying out towels at this time of year. The clothes drying rack was tiny and only enough for 2 towels, not sufficient for a families needs. We enjoyed the games room, it had a pool table, table tennis table, basketball ball hoops and table football.
The football field that was shown in the photos had no goals. We were not told about this on booking but on questioning this with the host were told he was waiting for a new one. We were there 5 days and no new one appeared. No badminton net as shown in photos was available.
