Amazing Stay!

The property was well located and well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The kitchen and living areas were lovely to spend time in and the bedrooms were very comfortable. It was great value for money and was perfect base for us - 3 couples and a dog exploring the local area over 4 days! It was very dog friendly although there is no garden or outside area to let them out which is worth noting. I would recommend to anyone and would certainly stay again!

The WiFi coverage was quite poor in some areas, particularly the kitchen, which was a challenge when the network coverage was also intermittent at best! The front door was a bit confusing / difficult to secure at times and takes some getting used to.

Great place to stay in Ilfracombe

The Salt house is very well presented, perfectly located in the centre of Ilfracombe. It's well equipped, the entrance space is a bonus when coming back from the beach! The George and Dragon pub, the best pub in Ilfracombe, is very close by! Great place for a family get together.

perfect location ... and the property was warm, clean, cosy and very inviting we really enjoyed our long weekend and look forward to booking again later in the year. would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking.

If there was anything worth mentioning it would be the lock on the front door, was a bit awkward after a drink or two. but nothing major it was a lovely (home from home) property.

Great location just off the harbour and very spacious property on 3 floors. Perfect for my family and the dog. Ground floor entrance hall has lots of space for luggage, coats, walking boots and beach gear / surfboards

Super! Just what we needed 😁

The host communication was excellent. The property was lovely and plenty of room for our family group. The pub opposite was welcoming and even though the Salt House is very close the street was quiet at night.

Blinds in the master bedroom would have made a big difference as it got light very early.

A lovely, spacious home and a great location from which to explore the area.

Very spacious and clean. TV, radio, music player, adjustable heating, plenty of towels and crockery, dishwasher, Wi-Fi and easy to use appliances, including coffee pods and coffee maker.

Opposite a pub which could be a bit noisy at closing time (not the fault of property owners!)

Fantastic Short Stay at The Salt House

We had the most perfect stay at The Salt House. Its a lovely property in an ideal, central location. Very spacious for six people to enjoy. The kitchen is very well equipped and the entrance lobby was great for leaving the pushchair/kicking off our shoes when returning from a walk. We were able to park right outside the property to offload/reload luggage. We then parked our cars near the Hillsborough car park - a short 10 minute walk away. Communication with the owners was excellent and we received a warm welcome from Jo on arrival. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to re-visit sometime in the future

Lovely stay

Spacious property which felt homely and welcoming. Lounge and kitchen had lots of space for all six of us to relax comfortably. Ideal location, eleven steps to nearest pub ! Good communication and information from Jo. Thank you !

Beautiful spacious house close to the harbour

The house is really spacious and laid out across three floors which offers privacy and enough space for everyone to relax. It’s beautifully decorated with all the facilities you need. The kitchen is very well equipped and made it easy to have meals in the house when we didn’t fancy eating out. The owners were at the end of the phone at all times and very friendly, responsive and helpful.

Parking was tricky at times as the car park nearest the house was often full all day. We parked up past the harbour and left the cars there most of the time.

Lovely old property. Set in a fantastic location. Very spacious and homely. 30 second walk to the harbour. 2 pubs opposite the accommodation. We had the smallest room but still plenty of space. Kitchen was a great size too.

Lovely location and people. Shame about the lack of outside space

Location was fantastic. Pub across the road which on the whole wasn't too noisy. Very near the sea and all amenities. Downside was there was no outside space at all. We wouldn't have booked it if we had known that

It was impressively large and decorated and furnished to an excellent level. Flowers when we arrived. The bed was most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. Just loved the place so will be back

Brilliant!

We loved everything about this property. We had a warm welcome by Jo with the key. The property is spacious ,clean and quirky. Everything is available from luxury linen and towels to a posh coffee maker. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the first floor sunny bay window with a sundowner! The entrance lobby was useful for leaving walking boots and outdoor coats. It’s close to the quayside and the shops, also good coastal walking trails.
