Excellent stop near Fondation Beyeler

Excellent rooms, restaurant and breakfast. Also highly pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is also super dog-friendly; quite exceptional.

A lovely location with attentive & kind staff, impeccable facilities and comfortable rooms.

Every detail was attended to.

The only small addition would be a larger selection at breakfast (such as eggs or bacon, other breads, etc.). Also the possibility to start breakfast earlier during the week (eg. 06:30).

Disappointed for the price we paid

Location fantastic

It was being renovated which we were not informed about. Sad to not have breakfast included and we were not offered a different room - choice of only one style of room when there were others available

very comfortable hotel with amazing food and superfriendly staff

Everything was top: friendly staff (the family room we initially booked was too hot without air conditioning so we got 2 double rooms with airco for the same price without even asking), very comfortable rooms, stylish design, perfect breakfast, romantic and very refined dinner outside under the trees, walking distance from the amazing Beyeler foundation.

Nothing really, we were very happy. There was no parking spot available but there was (free) public parking very nearby so this was no issue. There seemed to be some bug in their online registration system when we were there but again this was absolutely not an issue as staff at the reception was exceptionally helpful.

The property is well positioned, tastefully decorated and effectively managed. Drinking water is of the highest quality from a sustainable local source.

The daily cleaning is not always as diligent as expected.

Convenient and classy hotel

Beautifully renovated property, all fixtures and fittings were very high quality. Fantastic breakfast. Good location right by tram stop. Good restaurant on site. Excellent shower. Free tea and coffee available in common area. Welcoming staff.

Room was very small. It was rather warm and as usual the bed covering was too hot. The restaurant was expensive although we may have just been getting used to Swiss prices. We were overcharged at the restaurant. It was corrected with apologies but unclear whether this was a genuine mistake.

A very warm English speaking welcome , reserved parking onsite , comfortable stylish room. Excellent location for both the Fondation Beyeler and the Vitra Campus. We would return .

Excellent option when visiting foundation Beyler which is at walking distance; easy (and free) tram ride to the center. Very good breakfast and helpful friendly staff. Quiet location

Superb

Good location directly at the tram-stop to the.city. Rooms in the dependance building were nice and clean. The restaurant had very delicious dishes. For my colleague who has gluten intolerance there was a lot of flexibilty and attendance with the personell and kitchen..

Lovely place for a long weekend in Riehen/Basel

Great service, good breakfast, and comfortable room for a short visit! The on-site restaurant is good too, and it’s conveniently located to the Fondation Beyeler.

definitely not worth money charged

extremely noisy, very tiny rooms, poor food choices. location (in from of tram stop and church that rings its bells every hour at night. so you can't sleep if your room are facing tram stop

Disappointing, however close to Fondation Beyeler.

We had to wait 15 minutes at the reception desk for check in because personnel was too busy in the restaurant. Small room with one very small window. Room did not smell nice. Airconditioning broken down.

Better service at the outside terrace. Waiter forgot our order. We left after 20 minutes. Food in restaurant not up to standard.

We enjoyed our stay

We were visiting family in the area and the hotel was a perfect location . Very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel and village of Riehen . Amazing art gallery close by - Beyeler Foundation and Childrens museum. Great walks in the area Only 20 min to the center of Basel Many thanks to the lady on the reception desk who made breakfast every morning and even prepared us a breakfast bag since we left early in the morning

Difficult to get into the bath/shower - add more handrails suggest coffee/tea facilities in room- there was a room on the second floor where you could make coffee

Restful stay in pretty, good-value “country inn.”

Lovely location, outside center in attractive upscale suburb, but with excellent transportation (free for hotel guests). Good beds. Excellent casual restaurant. Near the marvelous Beyeler Museum.

Furnishings tired, partly enlivened with ill-advised “kooky” touches. The pleasant and locally well-known restaurant has priority over hotel operations.
