A really pleasant oasis.

The staff were great and went out of their way to make our visit wonderful. Really enjoyed the included breakfast and dinners on the terrace in the evening.

Rooms are a bit dated but serviceable.

Comfortable room, close to the freeway but quiet. Nice and attentive staff.

Menu items a bit pricey (after all it is Switzerland), but pizza was very good.

Just what we needed after a long drive from Tuscany - A warm welcome and good food :)

The hosts were great, a gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed for dinner too in the restaurant and sat outside which was full of atmosphere with many local regulars. We orginally asked for a table inside but when we came down for dinner we changed our minds, no problem, our host had already anticipated this and had a table prepared. It's a great location for an overnight stopover from Italy back to UK. Offstreet parking in their own car park. We didn't explore the local area as didn't have time.

The aircon was struggling a bit.

Room was larger than expected and had air conditioning. Owner and his wife were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, breakfast is served at your table which is much nicer than self service. We had a little private terrace too. Hope to return again. Nice outside terrace with vine covered pergola to eat under.

Quite noisy as next to a busy road although not too bad once the window was closed. Doesn't open until 5.30pm and no one there before that so we had to wait outside. It did mention this on the website but when you're travelling long distances it's not easy to time it correctly.

Great experience overall, staff was very friendly and helpful.

The property had a very warm, cosy atmosphere. We were welcomed by the host when arrived, parking was available, big patio for outdoor dining etc. Room was very big and clean.

The check in pretty late at 17:30. But we were allowed to check in earlier at 16:00 when we arrived.

Comfortable and friendly staff, great food in the restaurant, wifi spot on. Came and let me check in early and provided secure parking for my motorcycle. Great breakfast.

Good place to stay...

Breakfast was very good. Dinner at the restaurant was also good. Our hosts were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. This is a good place to stay for a comfortable overnight on the road between Germany and Italy.

The hotel is on a busy street. We had a room at the back, so it Wass fairly quiet. I would not have wanted to sleep in a room at the front.

Lovely family run restaurant and hotel. Everything was quite nice, the room, with balcony, more of a suite... restaurant was surprisingly nice, white linen tables etc...everyone was super nice.

Clean room and premises , friendly and polite staff, good restaurant to have dinner. Location is good while taking an overnight stay on the way to Italy or while traveling in Switzerland. The breakfast is ok, nothing special.

The size of the room could have been a bit bigger. The beds were not great to sleep in overnight. There is a busy road next to the hotel and even though the window insulation is good, the road noise filters in thru the night.

Nice hotel with lovely grotto

The room was clean and complete with basic necessities. Hotel location is only 15 minutes drive from Lugano train station. The Grotto was a very nice open terrace and served very delicious foods.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast and excellent dinner. If you have the chance stay for dinner. Grilled meat is there speciality but also pasta dishes are very good.

I was expecting the room to be cleaner. We had a few insects in the room. In general the room might need a refresh.

Very friendly and personal welcome. Every effort was made to make our stay the best possible.

Very personal service. Family run with lots of individual touches. Everyone friendly and helpful. Breakfast prepared and little wishes from the morning before already arranged. Huge menu choice with large terrace for eating.

The top floor only has stairs access. Not a problem for us but possibly for some people
