Perfect with children to explore Lugano

Lovely garden with different play areas for the children and a nice little pool with a slide. Also different sitting areas where you can eat. Our family room was spacious and comfortable with a bunk bed and two single beds pushed together as a double bed. The staff was lovely and very welcoming and helpful. Free car parks available.

Great Hostel

Beautiful setting with great facilities, very helpful staff, and great value.

A long hill to climb from a bus stop 15 minutes ride from the train station. It was a little distant from Lugano sights. Fortunately, there is great bus system and Ticino tickets for free bus fare.

A great olace

Brilliant youth hostel for families with loads of great things to do in their outdoor space, including beach volleyball, bowls, trampoline, play area, and of course the swimming pool! The kitchen facilities were nice, as was the common room and there are a few vending machines. The four-bed family bedrooms are perfectly adequate. Easily accessible by bus from central Lugano. Overall highly recommended for young families in particular.

The hosts were wonderful, the breakfast was great and the rooms are cozy! Great value for money!

The bathrooms weren't separated by gender. There were no problems, but it is maybe something to consider when booking.

I would expect more toilettes /showers but still it was ok. Would be nice to have towel and in the room paper towels. The room for 6 beds was quite small, Between corridor (with lockers and sink) and beds it was neither door nor curtain so we were all disturbing each other when arrived and tried to lock our stuffs in the lockers or when we woke up. Too small for 6beds. Too low privacy and no oxygen to breath when the room was occupied by 5 people.

My kids loved the property. There were lots of things to do for the kids including swimming pool.

We did not use the pool but I have seen it and liked it; the breakfast was very good, excellent coffee!!! And the cleanlyness is outstanding!!! We will come again!!!!!!

Lovely warm welcome from Eva and Michele on the front desk who were both very helpful throughout our stay. Really helpful to be given guidance on downloading the free public transport app for those who didn't fancy the walk to the hostel uphill. Nice grounds and facilities e.g. pool. Great to have a supermarket nearby and a nice restaurant (La Ticinella) across the road. Appreciated the sustainability efforts of the hostel. A great place overall.

Found the bed a bit uncomfortable and hard to regulate the temperature in the room through the night.

Bad

One older woman with grey hair at the reception desk was very mean and rude toward me when I asked for use of kitchen and hot water. She yelled at me and she made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable and she made me feel that I want to quit my traveling in Europe all together. That was the worse incident that happened to me during my 3 nights stay in the hostel. I will NEVER go back to the place no matter how good the facility is!

Great accommodation option in Lugano. Friendly staff, amazing facilities including a pool and lots of green areas, comfortable rooms and very clean common areas (bathrooms, kitchen, TV room).

The hostel is not located outside city center, so either a bus (15min max, run frequently) or a 30-40min walk is needed to reach the center. All information is provided and having the Ticino ticket for free public transportation is a big plus! The breakfast is good - having eggs would make it 100%

Very good

It's an absolute oasis of a place. The garden area with the pool is amazing. Room was basic (very small shower) but perfectly adequate for our needs. We intend to go back for longer next year to explore the area and enjoy the facilities at the hostel more.

All restaurants and takeaways nearby were closed so we ended up in McDonalds. Will be more prepared and make use of the kitchen next time we stay.
