This hotel is a wonderful find, family run, clean. I will stay there again.

The location was excellent, a short walk up from the centre of town. The breakfast was superb, and included home-made jams and plenty of fresh bread, plus eggs, cheeses and meats. The owner, Martina, is thoughtful, efficient, and a wonderful source of information. I enjoyed talking with her about family and about life. The hotel and the room were exceptionally clean.

I always like to have a kettle in the room, but I managed to find one in the hallway to make myself evening tea.

Lovely Stay in Wengen

Great location, with a great view! Staff was very welcoming and personable. Enjoyable breakfast buffet with many options (yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread, boiled eggs, juice, cheese and meats, etc). Very short walk to the Mannlichen access gondola and restaurants. Peaceful location at this time of year (mid-September). Enjoyed seeing the Alpenglow morning and evening, though best in evening!

The shower water temperature fluctuated a bit, as it is an old building. I was unable to get my mini fridge to work. Also failed to mention it to staff since it wasn't a big necessity for me, but I'm sure they would've been accommodating.

Pleasant stay and excellent host

Pleasant stay. Views overlooking the farm and the mountain view (Eiger, Junfrau, Mönch) from my balcony every morning were the most fantastic thing (make sure to get the room same side as the dining area you may upgrade upon arrival, check the pics). Martina, the owner, is very happy to be helping and serving the guests at anytime of fhe day, her smile is contagious. My room had everything I needed and breakfast is well prepared. Hotel is located in a quieter area of Wengen. Quite near the cable car bound for Mannlichen and Grindelwald too. I’ll come back here again.

Nothing. If the guest likes staying in a quiet or less crowded area, this place may be a bit of a walk from the train station, but will be perfect.

Unexpected stay for two nights due to weather changing my walking plans. No regrets.

Excellent family run hotel in Wengen, very informative and friendly hotel manager. Quiet place ideal for walkers in the Bernese Oberland. Hotel has a pleasant slightly old fashioned and quiet charm rather than a sterile modern hotel. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, good meals if you stay for dinner.

It was just okay.

Not too far from the train station. I didn’t mind walking up the hill to get there. It was very quiet and relaxing, away from the bustling city center. It’s dated but clean.

Breakfast wasn’t much. Could have gotten much more value for our money if we had walked a few mins down the road. The room had no coffee. We had to pay CHF 4 for a tiny cup of coffee in the evening.

Delighful stay!

I can’t wait to go back here! The property is located close enough to Wengen train station & town, & 3-4 minutes from the cable car, yet far enough to get some peace & quiet. Each room has a balcony with a lovely view. It was spotless & cleaned each day with fresh towels replaced. The host, Martina is wonderful. She was warm & welcoming, and gave me lots of great tips for hiking & sightseeing. Their continental breakfast was excellent! Soft, freshly baked bread and croissants each morning from the local bakery with fresh cut up fruits & plenty of options for vegans & vegetarians for a healthy & hearty breakfast, served with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. 10/10 recommended.

Everything perfect but kettle can be provided in room for tea. The way from station to hotel is inclined so its difficult with heavy luggage. Bring small hand trollies.

Breakfast was outstanding as well as the service! The location is convenient to the grocery store, restaurants, gondola and train station. It doesn’t get better than this! Incredible balcony room with a view of the mountains. I loved the traditional and rustic decor of the hotel. The staff were lovely, helpful and always down for a chat. You didn't need a fan in hot weather either, as you'd just open the balcony window for a nice mountain breeze. Will definitely come back to Wengen and would love to stay here again.

Wish there was a kettle in my room for coffee and such, but breakfast was free for me and you could get as much coffee as you want there.

Vert friendly and in a good position to access the cable car.
