Cosy room with great views

The hotel is on the hillside so once you get to your room and balcony, you have amazing views of the city and the surrounding areas. They offer pickup and dropoff at the Wengen station. The rooms came with breakfast and the selection was very nice. There was a nice selection of bread, spreads and fillings. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so the stay was enjoyable.

The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill. This can be tiring when you are lugging luggage around. They do offer a pickup service from the station. They still use keys to lock and unlock the doors, which can get a bit tricky when your hands are full. You are able to leave the keys at reception so that you don't have to take it around with you during the day. There is a single elevator servicing the multilevelled hotel but there is also a set of stairs. There wasn't a dedicated in-house dining, so you had to leave to get food. They did have some nights with fondue but that was irregular and required pre-booking.

This hotel was absolutely amazing!

This hotel had the most excellent view. We had a room with a balcony. The location of the hotel is a bit further up from the village centre, but it is well worth the walk. The hotel does offer to pick guests up at the train stop :) The view of the mountains is incredible from up there. The rooms were spectacular.

There was nothing I didn’t like. The rooms were small but we knew that. The hotel behind us is owned by a school and the teenagers were quite loud, but just kids having fun.

It could use a renovation, the bathroom was quite ran down. Overpriced. On a rainy day when we tried to relax at the library the staff was talking quite loudly in the dining area next to us, it was annoying.

Decent stay but expensive compared to other options in Wengen for the experience and facilities

Prompt pick-up and drop-off from Wengen railway station, as the hotel is quite a hike with luggage. Helpful staff. Breakfast was nice

No additional facilities such as spa, pool, etc., like we later saw at several other hotels, many priced in the same range too. Rooms were small, but I assume that's the case with all properties in Wengen. Our room had a balcony, but it was not mountain-facing. It was up to us to double-check, of course, but I wish it had been mentioned a little more explicitly. There wasn't an opportunity to upgrade later.

Absolutely incredible stay

This was probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at, not just because it was beautiful and comfortable, but also because the view from our room was absolutely incredible. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The staff was so nice and helpful, very welcoming and gracious. We were so fortunate to have had the nicest view from the third floor of the hotel. The walk to the hotel also wasn’t as bad as I originally thought, it was only a few minutes from the train station, albeit uphill, but what’s another hill when you’ve been hiking all day in the mountains?

There is not much to dislike but the only thing that would’ve made it slightly more comfortable would be a fan in the room. It was pretty hot when we were there and the room would heat up a lot during the day. The only thing to do was to leave the windows and balcony doors open at night to cool the room off. Thankfully there are no mosquitoes up there so once lights were off, nothing flew into the room. It was nice to sleep with the fresh mountain air in the room.

The hotel was so cute and the views were absolutely amazing! The breakfast was phenomenal and the staff were so friendly and helpful! I have never seen such a clean hotel.

A beautiful location and the staff are always amazing. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast with a great view of the mountains 🏔️. Such a special place.

It’s all delightful, however, the rooms are quite small and sometimes the noise echoes from other lodges surrounding the Hotel (but the Hotel can’t help that). Ceiling fans or air conditioning in summer would be useful as it can get very hot and you have to leave the doors to the balcony open which lets in mosquitoes and noise, and if your neighbours are on their balcony, it’s not terribly private!

This is a beautiful, family-run hotel in a spectacular location just above Wengen village. The owners and staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was nicely appointed, with a comfortable bed, a private balcony and an amazing view. Breakfast was excellent. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful location, excellent view, far enough from city center to enjoy calm evenings without the noise from bars downtown (only during high season), very friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast with incredible view both of garden or the mountains. The hotel‘s name keeps its promise: the Alp‘s Serenity.

Blissful stay at this beautiful quaint boutique hotel

The property is pure perfection. The only thing that need renovation is the guest room bathrooms other than that the property is perfect. The staff is amazing, the breakfast is extraordinary, the service superb, the room for 3 was extremely comfortable, the views stunning, the property is great condition, very clean immaculate hotel. The ride to and from train station very good. The guest rooms very pretty and nicely decorated. Nothing major to complain about it.

It was an excellent stay

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. It is well located, a bit uphill, but only 8-9 min walk from Wengen train station. My room had an amazing mountain view, i cannot even describe how mesmerizing it was. Everything was super clean and well functioning in the room. The owners and the staff are very friendly and ready to help if you need anything. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Best view from a hotel I’ve ever seen

The most amazing views I’ve ever had from a hotel room. The balcony was an amazing place to just sit. Even in the rain because it was covered. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. And the offer of a bus to and from the station with our large bags was really great given it is up a bit of a hill.

Like everywhere in Wengen (and Switzerland), it’s very expensive, particularly by Australian standards. But it’s comparable to other Swiss hotels. And for what you get with the location, I’d happily pay it again.

The amazing mountain and valley views from my room, the quiet and peaceful location away from the busier part of Wengen, the central location to public transport around the Jungfrau region, comfortable and clean, lovely and friendly hotel staff

Nothing really, maybe some slightly more comfortable chairs for the balconies might be nice, or a cushion to put on them. Such a small thing! Not important at all.

Convenient stay to explore the region.

The views from the balcony and the surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was good and adequate. Facilities and guest rooms in good working order and clean. The village of Wengen has a very nice ambiance, convenient access to the valley and the mountains, best of both worlds!

Location is uphill from the town center and the train station, could be specially hard at the end of a long exploration day. Definitely arrange a shuttle with the hotel if carrying luggage. Rooms are small since they are intended for a minimal overnight stay, which is expected since you spend most of your day outdoors. However bathrooms finishes and equipment feel definitely outdated.

Beautiful location, beautiful little hotel!

The staff were amazing, so friendly and polite always keen to help wherever possible. Hotel itself was very cute and charming with stunning views. Breakfast was also very well done, with a wide variety of options.

I'm not sure if it's a limitation of the type of building but a bathroom fan would have been good.

Overall a great stay only too short.

The amazing views, the room itself was comfortable, clean and spacious comparatively and the staff were very kind, welcoming and professional.

The very small bathroom...smallest we had during our 3 1/2 week trip through France & Switzerland. Also the policy of only using the shuttle for taking guests back and forth to train station. Property sits at very top of hill away from main area of village...one day poured down raining, thunder and lightning...because of the policy and our daughter was recouping from head/chest cold we ended up not going out to town to avoid being out in the wet, damp weather while the shuttle sat...was most unfortunate.

We had a lovely time and loved Wengan. The views were fantastic.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb, cooked eggs for us every day. Room was clean and tidied every day.

When I looked online at the pictures, I chose the hotel because it stated every room had a balcony and stunning views, but our room looked out onto trees; we would have preferred a room at the front with views of the mountains. That was our only disappointment.
