Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, good for value breakfast.
Not much, really. Warm water tap flow very low, alo no responses to my message inquiries, but compensated by kind and helpful staff.

This is an old school Swiss hotel with great location, nice restaurant with traditional Swiss food, and friendly staff. I left a small bag behind and they retrieved it and returned it to me when returned later to grab my bags, with all of the money that was in the bag--they could have said it had gone missing or was not found--I hadn't realized that I left it--super honest and kind of them. This is not a modern luxury hotel but that is its charm and value. Location near shops and the gondola on Main Street is great. I had a nice single room with a shower on the corner with a view of the near mountain/street. It was quiet and great value for money. Thanks again to the staff who were very helpful and honest--true Swiss hospitality.
Would be nice to have a kettle in the room but there is one in the ski room. Otherwise this is a great value for money and nothing else to missing or disappointing for my stay.

We loved that the hotel was dog friendly. They have a dog shower on site for a small fee, provide dog bowls, and gave our dog delicious homemade treats.
The restaurant food was delicious and staff was kind
The ski room is small but efficient.
I read the reviews before booking and aware of the small bathroom. Yes, the bathroom was small, but well decorated and easy to use. It was extremely clean. We had no problems with it.
The location was amazing as it was close to the cog wheel train and cable car lift. I enjoyed walking my dog and family around Wengen. The restaurant choices were within close proximity too!
Tips: Pre-order breakfast to receive the 15 CHF price.
I gave my review a 9 due to the mattress. I would recommend to add a small topper on the mattress. The springs could be felt at times when sleeping.

The location of the hotel was good, being 10 minutes walk from the train station. The restaurant was good for dinner. The cleaning staff was diligent.
The toilet in our room was too small. The breakfast was too basic, considering it costs CHF15 per person.

Hospitality was excellent.
Didn't realize 4th floor was like an attic.

This was our third stay here (always in summer), it’s a pleasant little place in the wonderful village of Wengen. We arrived early but the friendly staff said we were welcome to leave our bags until check in time. Great location, just at the end of the main street in the village. The rooms are a little dated but everything was functional and the place is clean.
Nowt not to like here.

Located in city center, balcony with nice views. The restaurant downstairs is really nice and had a little discount for guests. We could leave luggage before and after check in. It was also possible to rent a kettle
No fridge in th room, there was a common fridge downstairs. Please note we were charged twice for the city tax (I saw similar issues on past reviews). Not clear whose fault it is since the hotel and booking are blaming each other and both refused to fix this. Otherwise I'd rank the hotel higher.
The hotel is also quite old, the toilet was inside the room but seemed as built in so a bit weird.

Location
We were 3 people in our 70s and we had to climb up and down 5 flights of steep stairs each time we went in or out of our room. Also the room was very small dor the 3 of us.

Nothing.
Many. Receptionist doesn’t make you feel welcome. No help to carry luggages to your room upstairs (no lift). Room & bathroom especially is very tiny. The bathroom in cruise ship is bigger. For the value of $200+ a night, it falls short.

Good location
Clean room
Bad internet. Could not use internet in my room and had to sit at reception to get internet. I have reported it a few times without success. My room had no chair to sit on and I had to sit on the bed.

Location was great, price was decent
I didn’t like carrying my suitcases to the third floor with no elevator :)
It was hot (not their fault), so we had to keep the windows open to cool the room – but it was pretty noisy outside until 11 PM and later.
The room was very small for 3 people – we had to choose between keeping a suitcase open or having space to walk :)

Location, bathroom was ok
Our room was at the main street and there was quite a bit of noise from the street and people using balconies in the evening/night. I also didn't like that the room was hot even though temperatures didn't reach over 20 during the day. Checkin is a bit stressful when they send you a message that they charge you 50 chf if you are late but the guy eats dinner and then return after 6pm. Bottomline, these are basic facilities and only because of location in someway justifies the price, I would pay a bit extra next time to stay somewhere better. And breakfast is a joke, they charge you more if you don't prebook (no idea where you could do that), it is better to go to bakery or supermarket.

A typical chalet hotel with a big room, a good size balcony and nice restaurant downstairs. The location is at the end of the main road away from the train station and it has a good view of the mountain and cable car station.
The bathroom was a bit small.

Front office (Juan) was excellent in welcoming us and getting us set up.
Close to the train station. Bakeries close by for a morning breakfast. A couple of late night restaurants as well. Rest everything closes by 6:30pm and the local store at 8pm.
Restaurant is great for their rossti and fondue.
Creaky floors. Extremely Cramped bathroom. Curtains barely enough to cover their windows. Pretty run down carpetting.
Really old building needing a major overhaul.

The village itself is incredibly peaceful — exactly the kind of calm I was looking for. Being close to Lauterbrunnen made it even better, as I could easily explore the stunning valley and return to the quiet charm of Wengen.
The hotel was great overall — clean, cozy, and welcoming. I especially appreciated the restaurant downstairs; the food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm. While dining options around Wengen are quite limited, it didn’t bother me much — the tranquility of the area more than made up for it.

Location, price
Old and worn out but still worth the money. The shower "cabin" was interesting, but understand how they had to retrofit them.

Easy walk from train station. Staff are nice.
We are in the fourth floor You can hear every move. I didn’t sleep well it looks like there’s a bed bug or something. Every time I sleep itch my skin. They don’t have anything in the room. No coffee maker 20chf deposit if you borrow a cattle to boil water. If you shower, water goes to the floor.

The breakfast, the raclette at the restaurant and the view of the mountains are great. It’s really Swiss style.
The single room was quite small and the shower and toilet very simple. All very clean and comfortable.

I liked the little corner one-person room, which made a weekend getaway to Wengen affordable. Two walls were surrounded by windows and the balcony with a view of Monch was inviting. The location is hard to beat, right in the center of town a short walk from the station. The little bathroom is perfectly adequate.
It would have been nice to have a hot option (scrambled eggs, sausages...) beyond the boiled egg at breakfast. A few minor updates, such as a new shower head and hair drier, might be nice, but it is quite fine already.

The location is superb.
The room wasn’t clean, the shower and toilet are in a wardrobe! The staff are not interested.

Wengen is a nice little village, close to the Jungfrau and hiking paths.
The hotel is super old, extremely expensive for the value. Reception has short opening hours. If you want a kettle in the room, you need to borrow one.

People here are nice, very near Wengen train station and cable car station, tourist centre, great place for various hiking, train ride to Interlaken ,Jungrough mountain and many other train rides are so beautiful.
Beds are uncomfortable, double deckers are noisy when you move around, bedroom is not spacious but enough space to open up luggage.

Higher altitude equals cooler temperature than Lauterbrunen or Grindelwald. Right next to Mannlichen lift station.
No elevator. A bit noisy with windows open.

location is great, right beside thee Männlichen cable car although When I was there it was not working. Other then that it's a very basic hotel.
I hate hotels that offers no breakfast possibility. Next time I will pay more attention for this detail. Another thing is no lift and when you have some heavy luggage, this is a real pain. Basic room and very basic showers.

Great location and good value for money
Rooms and decor are very dated and need modernising.
Breakfast was very basic with very little to no fresh fruit etc.

In town, close to ski lift. Room had a balcony with a view of the mountain.
Arrive at reception, no one about, after some minutes a guy arrives walks past me and goes behind the counter but completely ignores me, does what every he needed to do and goes away, still ignoring me. A short while later a lady comes to check me in, but first she tells me I have to pay, this she keeps insisting on even when I show her proof of prepayment via booking-dot-com. Small pokey ski and boot storage area, in the heating/boiler hallway. Quite strong grilled food & cheese fondue smells in the common areas (especially in the evenings) but not, luckily, in my room.

Amazing location and all the staff were super friendly. I would love to come back again - restaurant is also great with huge portions and lovely food. Room was exactly as described which is great!
My only dislike - possibly my room specifically - the floorboards were every thin, so when the room above me got in at 2am each night, it woke me up every time and I couldn’t sleep till they had stopped moving

Great location! Less than 5 minutes walk from the station. We were able to check-in a bit later (just before 20:00), which was great so we could enjoy our day at Grindelwald First more. Just make sure you let them know if you can't make it before 18:00 so you won't have any problems. Check-in was very easy with friendly staff (Scottish man I believe). We also had a very nice view from our room of a church and the mountains.
There is no elevator, but this is written on their page so please don't arrive there and start complaining that you have to climb stairs.
The bathroom (especially shower) was quite small, which could be a bit hard if you're a big person, but it was alright for us.
8.0 / 10.0
Strategic location with good window view. Daily room cleaning.
It doesn’t have lift and very inconvenient and taxing to carry luggage to the room using the stairs. Please don’t bring big luggage and there is no staff to help.
