We loved Murren as a destination, but would have preferred a newer and better priced hotel.

Restaurant staff and housekeeping were attentive and friendly. Room was comfortable.

Property is older and "tired". We did not have a view. We found out later that there were newer properties, with views that cost less than what we paid. We were disappointed about that.

Pleasant enough hotel for several nights, nice breakfast.

The room was small but functional. This is to be expected in this location. There is a large library on the ground floor that is perfectly comfortable to laze in. Reasonable Internet (both Wifi and 5g). Elevator functions well. Reasonably easy to get to all parts of Mürren.

The restaurant was fine for breakfast, but the menu for dinner wasn't quite to my taste. The mixed salad was a bit excessive in size. The wine menu could stand a slight upgrade. The hotel is uphill- if one has difficulty walking, one should call the hotel before booking.

Despite the weather we had a great time.

Breakfast was very nice. Good assortment of options. We didn't dine in the restaurant as the menu was primarily bar food, burgers, wings, and the like. It was nice to have some English speaking TV stations.

Duvey's were overly heavy for the current weather and the full queen size bed was pushed up against the wall making nighttime bathroom trips somewhat awkward.

We stayed at Hotel Jungfrau Mürren for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there

Absolutely stunning view of the mountains – truly unforgettable. Great location, close to a small shop. Excellent breakfast with a good variety. Strong hot water pressure in the shower. The room was warm and cozy, even though it was chilly outside. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

There was only one power socket next to the bed. Payment in Swiss Francs is better – the exchange rate for euros was quite poor. Breakfast time can be a bit noisy, as many guests talk loudly.

Excellent location i the middle of an iconic tourist town.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the town. Can't fault that. The room was of a nice size, great view!! Staff were generally excellent, (generally, some (one) was a little grumpy).

No fridge was a bit of a let down, given the price. Anyone expecting cheap in Switzerland is going to be let down I guess, and maybe expecting a fridge it unfair given it's pretty cool up here most of the time.

The view is absolutely stunning! The apartment we stayed in had plenty of space 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms.

The service in the restaurant for breakfast was not good. We requested gluten free bread for two people two weeks in advance, and then reminded every day while we were there. And for the last breakfast they told us they only have one bun left… they also took 20 min to bring GF bread to us. And we had to chase them to ask for coffee.

Amazing Stay at Hotel Jungfrau Mürren

An absolutely wonderful hotel — not just because of its great location, cleanliness, and stunning views from the windows, but above all because of its highly professional staff. I experienced the fastest check-in of my entire travel career: I simply said my name, and I was handed the room key — no prepayment, no passport number check, no forms to fill out, no credit card details. This immediately created a wow effect, and everything else lived up to that first impression. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to the staff — you are truly amazing!

Small Inn that leaves a life-long impression.

Best view I’ve ever enjoyed. Great balcony. Very good food in sunny comfortable dining rooms. Huge public room with very comfortable furniture. First-class buffet breakfast included. Understated but effective service. Hope to return. Like a dream. And I am a demanding guest.

Absolutely perfect

Perfect location on a quite idyllic street in the less crowded part of Murren. It was an easy walk from the train station and right across from a great coffee shop (InSport). You also got a free pass to swim in the community center pool next door. There is also a self service laundromat right down the street which is quite convenient. The room was perfectly clean, quiet, and comfortable. The views were amazing and you could open the windows for fresh Swiss air and the sound of birds and cow bells.

Nothing but amazing! Family of 5 stayed in the apartment & it was absolutely gorgeous! Amazing views from all rooms, clean, and lots of space. Hotel staff was friendly & breakfast that was included was great with lots of choices. In great location in town, near train station & cable cars. Highly recommend & would stay here again!

Rude front desk lady

I got to leave

Rude front desk lady. I checked in at 6pm and paid for the room. The room hadn't been cleaned, I brought this to the attention of the front desk lady. I waited and then asked what the status of the room was, she said she's trying to get a hold of the person to clean the room and they haven't answered, and will continue trying. Thats it, no guarantee the room will be cleaned, but trying. I'm like, what? I'm in Murren, my only opinions are a hostel or a $400 a night room, same with Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. I've got no other options so I'm thinking I'm sleeping in a dirty room or a hostel. The lady just started being really rude to me, I was just trying to get a time frame when I could actually have my room. She absolutely shouldn't be at this job and I'm not going to be treated rudely when this is your fault and I haven't done anything other than want to check into my room and would like a time frame, or some confidence it will actually be cleaned. It was cleaned, however she was rude to me, it's unacceptable.

Very comfortable stay in beautiful Murren

Excellent single room, very cute on the third floor. Fantastic view. Close to the mountain train down to Lauterbrunnen as well as to the gondola up to Schilthorn Comfortable bed. The breakfast was continental as well as eggs and sausages. Great bread and coffee. Great, helpful staff.

The corridor on the third floor smelled of, I think, smoke. Pretty nauseating. Couldn’t see any ashtrays so maybe it was something else

Scenic location, good service

The room was functional, of reasonable size. I like that the way beds are made in Switzerland (at least where I stayed), the blanket not tucked in. Breakfast was good, but starting at 8.00, however nice packed breakfast was provided on request when I wanted to leave earlier. I opted for a more economic room, so the view was not on mountains, but on a spring fresh green slope. The location is just excellent between the small train station and the cable. Overall I found Murren to be more charming, with better views and options for walks in comparison to alternatives. Quiet season in spring means that some transportation connections and services are not available (closed restaurants, cable and railway in maintenance, attractions in reconstruction), worse yet, many walking trails are still closed in early May due to lingering snow, but I really prefer fewer people around and no waiting lines. Even so there was plenty of people for my taste, I thing during high season I would enjoy the visit much less.

Staying in Murren adds an hour or more of travel time if you want to go anywhere else. My plan was to go there and stay there, doing a lot of walks, but the spring weather made corrections with rain and fog. Luckily I had Swiss Travel Pass, so I could be very flexible with my travel. When I saw that weather was going to go bad during my stay, I rushed to Murren for the good weather days, and then when it was raining I went to Interlaken for boat trips and even to Bern. The Swiss public transportation connections are very good, but I was coming back to Murren close to last cable trips at 22 or 23 if full darkness. However being up there in mountains was still the best part of my trip.

Staff very good. Hotel is in an amazing location with inspiring views across the valley. The building is a little dated and needs some repairs and renovation for the price. This wasn’t a great concern because we were there for the views and walks.

What a lovely view of the Swiss Alps from this chalet! All of the essentials are provided and the staff are friendly.

There's an absolutely gorgeous view of the Swiss Alps just outside the window. The bathrooms were well appointed and remodeled.

It's a bit of a walk from the aerial tram to get there but not terrible if there isn't bad weather. The beds were very hard and the bedding was super scratchy, to the degree that my husband had to end up putting his T-shirt around the pillow so the scratching this didn't keep him awake.

Excellent Location, Views, Food & Staff

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Young kids who work in the restaurant work hard and are eager to please. It's a great location with wonderful views from the balcony. Breakfast isn't quite up to German standards LOL, but it's good. Restaurant food was good. I very much enjoyed my stay here. Murren is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

My only issue was that the people staying above me were quite loud. I'd love for the hotel to institute a quiet policy after 9m or 10pm.

The staff are friendly and make an effort. However, overall, we were not satisfied with our stay.

The room was clean and had a great view. The bathroom was clean and functional. The staff are friendly.

The remote control was missing from the room and could not be replaced. The heating went off the second night we were there and did not come back on until we checked out. The food at breakfast was good. The quality of the food at dinner was not satisfactory; Roesti partly undercooked and the dish was almost cold when it arrived. We had good times in this hotel a few years ago. We tried to reach out to the management in writing but did not get a response.
