We had a fantastic time, the cave house had everything we needed and more. Eva was great at communicating with us and very helpful with giving us recommendations for restaurants, things to do and even the history of the island. We absolutely loved this place, the view was so beautiful and tranquil and yet we were so close to the main tourist areas. When we came back in the evening it was so lovely chilling in the hot tub with a glass of wine while watching all the boats coming back and the sun disappearing. I would highly recommend the cave house and would love to come back someday.

I cannot fault this stay. Santorini is a beautiful place and we had the best stay at the Genesis Cave House. Thank you to George and Stavi for their generous hospitality. We couldn’t have stayed somewhere more lovely.

Great location with breathtaking view from the balcony. Stavi met us at the property, super kind and helpful. Bed was comfortable, internet and ac in the room. Small bathroom, but they are cave houses 😊Housekeeping comes daily. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. (Make sure you have comfy shoes, steep stairs and lots of walking 😉)

The room is big, there is bathing tub, balcony, traditional cave hotel, our room is facing the sea, very beautiful, kitchen with utensils is provided. All the door and window can open with glass, that we can have sea view even we close the door, we can wash clothes and hanging in balcony, it drys in hours, lots of hanger are provided, it is very considerate. Our room is next to the road, can move to the Main Street in minutes. The reception is very nice and helpful, they help us to apply for a boat trip, that is very nice trip, thx very much. We stay for 2 nights, an extra bed sheet and blankets is provide on request. Transportation is provided on request too. In all, very good experience for our stay in Santorini. Thanks you all

Great place with excellent hosts! It looks just like the pictures. Very comfortable and in a great location without too many people passing by out front. The hot tub was amazing in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

Our baby had the worst time. There were insects in the house, and the bedsheets were not washed properly. His face had two reactions on each side. The property and location is great, but the cleanliness could be better. Also, a lot of steps to the apartment. So make sure your knees and back are in good shape.

The property was nice and centrally located to explore Oia. We had a nice time, could watch the sunset and the sun rise from the balconies. I would have appreciated a bit more communication and support with questions/logistics. We figured things out on our own in the end, but support would have been appreciated in the moment.

George is an amazing host and the Genesis Cave House has the best view over the Caldera day or night! We enjoyed many a mooonlit dinner overlooking the shimmering caldera water and beautiful cliff houses of Oia

Warning! When we arrived at the property there was no hot tub even though it clearly shows one in the pictures of the villa we selected, I let the owner know who just said we can move to a different apartment which does have a hot tub so we agreed but this turned out to be 15m walk away and didn't have the caldera views, although the place was very nice we felt that the first day was wasted and stressful and that the pictures need to be more accurate for the correct rooms. I spent £200 a night to have to be moved around and it was so hot we needed the pool/hot tub to cool down.

The property has a breath taking view of the volcanic caldera and is situated in the heart of Oia city. The best part was George, the host at the property who helped us with our tourist plans and also helped with multiple other things, including airport transfers. The property is very clean and very accessible. Perfect recommendation for anyone’s Santorini visit.

It was beautiful and spacious! The property would have been perfect if it had had 2 bathrooms. Also, a few bottles of water or some nourishment would’ve been super helpful! Also a list of local places open on eat in the low season would’ve been EXTREMELY life saving! The cell phone provided was amazing! It was so helpful. Location was perfect! A summer stay would be amazing at this location but not necessarily in the winter time. Would stay again!

Wonderful sea views and great location in Oia. Manager George is very friendly and helpful. Views from the windows and two balconies were fantastic, looking at sunrise and sunset over the sea everyday! Bathroom is pretty modern and cool. Strongly recommended! Also this apartment has parking lot at back. it's very convenient. In Santorini, we saw several people carried heavy luggage to climb many steps before they can find their hotels (some hotels are not car accessible).

We had a lovely stay at Genesis Cave house. The views from the terrace are outstanding, probably the best on the island! The downside of this is that lots of people want their photo taken there, but it can be quite amusing watching all the posing! It’s perfectly placed for all the many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed visiting Amoudi Bay; walking up and down the 220 steps nearly finished us off so we got a taxi the next time (15€ each way) we’ll worth it to sit by the sea and eat some lovely seafood. You can catch a bus to the beaches on the island and this is easy and very cheap. Stavros was very helpful and booked taxis for us. He gave us a mobile phone so it was easy to contact him. I definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.

Wife and I decided to stay here for our honeymoon stay. It had a great view of the caldera and was close to a great sunset spot as well. I'd highly recommend this area for a stay, it has great value considering how much other spots cost around it. Two thumbs up!

Pros: the view is fantastic, the outside seating area is great, plus you feel like you really are in a cave house. Stravos was very helpful with everything regarding getting there and anything we needed. Loved having our own kitchen, cold AC, and the place cleaned every day. Cons: The communication prior to checkin was poor via online messaging, but calling worked perfectly. The bed was not the best. The shower was shorter than average- at 5' 7" I was a bit tall for it. Also would be nice if there was a set of beach towels.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Villa and it was excellent. Can’t beat the location, right on the main drag, and it had TWO balconies- top balcony gives almost 360 degree views. This was amazing for sunset drinks and the view- BREATHTAKING!! The apartment was handy to a bakery and local supermarket as well which made buying provisions easy. Also, a huge thank you to Stavros who was there to meet us, explain the apartment, and he also helped us with our bags. Such a lovely guy- he just wanted us to have the best experience in Santorini and we certainly did. He also remained with us on the last day to make sure our departure transfer turned up. Stavros is such a kind and considerate man. The only minor negative was that the shower water pressure was not very strong at all. We imagine water is a precious commodity on the island so this may be why the water pressure is not so great. This was only a minor negative and would not stop us staying at Genesis Cave houses again as it’s such a beautiful villa. We have unforgettable memories of our wonderful stay on Santorini and we loved your villa/apartment. Thank you again Stavros and George.

We couldn't ask for a better view and location. This place is amazing in every way. Short walk to the castle and sunset viewing points, restaurants and cafes and souvenir shops. The rooms were clean and amenities were more than adequate, especially we rarely spent time in the room except to shower and sleep. The owner George greeted us when we arrived to give us a personal tour of our cave house, explained where we were situated in reference to the other cities and landmarks on the island and answered our questions. He also helped arrange our rides from and to the airport and he was always accessible by phone. We highly recommend Genesis Cave Houses.

The location is good with private Carpark lot provided. The person (Freedom) checked us in had done an amazing job. Took his time to introduce us to the island, gave us a phone for easy communication, and answered our every questions. Every patience and nice guy. Unfortunately we experienced some setback like power tripped (the whole town), the balcony areas were invaded with hundreds of small bugs/insects which I believe it’s the seasons of it breeds and lastly, we took an hour plus to look for the accommodation, no signage, google map wasn’t updated and even asking the local, they don’t know anything about the location. Ended up, we have to call Freedom to look for us to direct us to the place. Nevertheless, I feel the entire stay was quite okay. Will stay here again if I return.

Beautiful view great bed. No wifi for over 50% of the time tv was a waste of time Greece religious or Arabic only. No hanging spots in bathroom only 1 in the main room. Tiny balcony no exhaust fan or vent in bathroom which is also the toilet. Poor choice of meeting point and only contact phone or internet no reception.

We spent 3 nights here and we are so glad we did!! George was able to communicate with us via Expedia message (there is wifi almost everywhere you go in Greece). We met at the local post office. And he had someone there waiting for us to help carry our bags down to the room. It really is just like the pictures on postcards! We had the room with the jacuzzi and it was wonderful! Very spacious! We had housekeeping come by every day, which we were not expecting. This is really the perfect location! If you are going to make the expensive trip to santorini greece, I HIGHLY recommend staying in Oia!! It really is the most beautiful place on the island! The views are just unreal!
