Relais Santa Chiara Hotel by Double Hospitality

The location is perfect within walking distance to San Gigiagmano and only 15 minute drive to the regional train station that we used to go to Florence/ Their staff is so friendly and accomodating. They host students to work the season which is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable but we had a back of the hotel facing room which was very dark with zero view. The rooms with a view look to be spectacular. The pool is nice but much smaller than the photos appear.

Logging on to their internet is ridiculous with the password requirements. I had to do alittle work and it was not stable or easy. I also booked two rooms as we were traveling with friends but they had to use all my details to log on to the internet including getting an email link to verify it to my personal email. Super frustrating for five days to deal with.

Fabulous setting

Nothing

Location was excellent and you could walk into SanGimigano. Parking on site. The outside dining/bar area was very pleasant with great views. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

The room we got was adequate, but faced a brick wall at the back. There were much better rooms at the front

location, smell, cleanliness, view, atmosphere, service, pool area and excellent breakfast, ideal hotel for a romantic stay

I have read reviews before about smaller rooms and poor soundproofing. The size of the rooms could really be bigger but it did not affect my stay in any way. As for the soundproofing, it is more about the fact that if someone is noisy in the hallway after 10pm, it is more about the people. We liked it and would like to come back here.
