Breathtaking views from this delightful hotel with AMAZING staff!!!

The staff was AMAZING!! He greeted us after an extremely long day of travel at close to midnight. Offered to talk us through the next day of travel (and give us insight) and even opened the bar for us to have a nightcap. The next morning he did a continental breakfast that was perfect to start our day! We came in late and had no idea just how beautiful the view was from our room and the main room. Absolutely breath taking! Highly recommend based on the service and location!!!

Definitely not the hotel's fault as we were getting used to staying at European hotels but the beds do not have top sheets. American tourists so we weren't aware that top sheets are not the norm.

A nice room in the middle of nowhere

The location and the views were amazing. The staff was very kind and easygoing. It is easy to reach during the day because there is a bus stop nearby, however if coming after 20:00 no bus is available.

Definitely one of the best hotels in this region, with a beautiful view

The hotel is located on a hill with a wonderful view of the neighboring towns, villages, lakes and mountains. The owner of the hotel is a great person. If I visit this part of Switzerland again, I will definitely return to this place.

peace and quiet in the center of Ticino

The room was clean and very cosy. Wonderful view from the window. A quiet and peaceful location. Delicious coffee in the morning and good breakfast. And last but not least - very friendly owner and his staff! Definitely worth recommending!

very very very very bad stay

in the property is very bad. The door is broken and the behaviour of the owner was very rude. Who is the chef also. We went in the night around about 9 PM. There was no one to help us.

The owner or the chef even told me that you can get out of my hotel as I told him that I need somebody to help me to put on the lights. You should be half a mile away. There is a parking where I can park my car. When I told him, please help me please come and show me the room. He said you don’t have eyes. Please Booking.com I will tell you please stop all this nonsense bookings. We are paying we should get minimum respect and service. I am very sorry. He should not run the hotel. He does not have a minimum courtesy towards his guest.

Thiefs!!! I've booked for one night and I set as a note that I will be arrived between 10:00 - 11:00 pm. I've got confirmed for my reservation. when I came he wasn’t there!!! and I waited for one hour. When he came he told me that he can’t give me my room because there is a child. for safty he should give me another room and i should pay 300€ (cash) insteads for 175€ otherwise there is no room for me!!!. So I left….

A nice stay when hiking in the beautiful area

The view from the hotel was amazing, right on the valley and the mountains. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had good sense of humor. The breakfast was very good with some fresh eggs and fruits. The place also has a nice atmosphere. It is really a location for nature lovers.

Views were spectacular.

The restaurant was shut which meant we had to go back out on our motorbike to find dinner. All the other restaurants near the hotel we're also closed because it was a Monday.

What a fantastic location, high in the mountains. No shops or banks nearby, so peaceful! Beautiful views, with Lake Maggiore and snowy mountains visible. Room was good, again with lovely views.

Staff were very friendly, but Wi-Fi not reliable, so it was very difficult to pay! Also dinner menu was a little slow, although it did not matter!

The location was stunning, the place very friendly, owner-run, totally understated and cozy-beautiful. We managed to get a freshly cooked dinner at nearly 10pm when we arrived with three sleepy kids. The views from the hotel are amazing. The online photos don't do the place justice, it looks better than on the pictures.

Room Type is different from expected. Booking.com mentioned Mountain View but we got street view which can hear cars driving. It is remote, higher up on the mountain road with steep turns. No WiFi in the bed room.

My friends and I came for dinner and I stayed the night. Outstandingly expensive food and room (100chf per person per night for a hostel, 9chf for plain small salad, etc). Unwilling to adapt to unforeseen situations, very slow service... I understand it is solo-run but in that case the price should be adapted accordingly
