Excellent homebase for skiing in Andermatt
We stayed here to enjoy a few days of skiing in nearby Andermatt. Hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The family suite was perfect for our family of 4 (2 teenage boys). The restaurant is excellent with fresh local specialties. Breakfast was a nice continental spread to start the day with
driving to andermatt requires you to drive 10km the opposite direction to enter the Gottard tunnel. not sure if this is seasonal or due to construction, but this should be taken into account...particularly in the afternoon

Good for overnight on a road trip
Location is just off main road before the tunnel. It was quiet and functional. Staff very nice. Restaurant on the premises. Good for a road trip overnight stop. Parking opposite hotel in public car park with spaces reserved for hotel guests (bays marked H).
It was quite expensive but nothing much around that was any cheaper. Hotel room very low ceilings.

Great location when staying in Airolo
Brilliant location for Airolo, just a few metres from the train station and bus stops. Rooms are of a decent size for a solo traveler. Bathroom was clean and modern. Meals (dinner and breakfast) were both very good.
No fan in the room, which is not great for the summer months.

A comfortable one night stay
Breakfast was offered; the hotel was located next to a supermarket and various restaurants; and the staff were very friendly, speaking both English and Italian. The room was also quite comfortable, as not only was it spacious, but it had a TV and coffee machine. While fairly small, the en suite bathroom was exceptionally clean and well-kept.
There was no fridge available in the room, which meant that we had to throw away a lot of the food we had travelled with that day. Otherwise there were no issues with the hotel.

Poor value for money.
Location, good breakfast but chaotic.
No Aircon in the room, VERY loud outdoors making for a challenging night with little sleep, poor staff availablity in the evening. Over all very expensive for the value.

A friendly place to stay for an overnight stopover if you don’t mind the view
Hotel staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Meals were very good as was the service,beds and bathroom all spotless. They supplied extra pillows when we asked for them. It was in an ideal position for our overnight stop.
The location, whilst it suited us for a one night stopover was not the prettiest of places being opposite the railway station. Rooms were very basic.
