Hotel is extremely well located in the center of beautiful, charming Dinan. Impossible to use GPS to get there due to its location on a street that is pedestrian-only 11am - 11pm and neither Google nor Apple mapping know about it. Rooms are quite run down compared to expectations with shabby carpet and chipped paint. No AC. Most (or all) rooms face west and so get afternoon sun and get very hot in warm weather. We didn't have breakfast...

Hotel Arvor is incredibly well located in the city if Dinan. Finding it, however, can be a bit tricky. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are not as upscale as one would hope, but they were clean. The bed was well used; a little too well used. But staying within the walls of a former convent, close to the magical city center itself was incredible. Overnight parking is nearby in a city-owned lot. There is at lease a one-star Michelin restaurant nearby; maybe two!

From the moment we checked-in, the hotel staff were polite and helpful. The room was perfect - comfortable, bathroom spotless with plenty of hot water, and the temperature just right. Parking was easy as the property has parking available. The Hotel Arvor is in the thick of it. Easy access to all walkable streets and amazing restaurants. I definitely recommend staying here while in Dinan.

Our stay at Hotel Arvor was wonderful. The hotel is charming, the location is amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived in our room and opened the window to see a lovely view of the beautiful buildings and could hear the sound of singing from the street it was a magical time.

This charming hotel is right in the heart of the quintessential French village of Dinan. Paid parking is nearby or if you contact the hotel ahead of time (which I was unaware of) can slot you in for on-site paid parking. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we found the room to be clean and spacious. This is extremely good value.

What a delightful city to walk and see the neat city. The hotel was great for the location, close to great restaurants and the staff was very nice and helpful. We were only there for 1 night but were very happy we made the stop.

Worth calling ahead to reserve one of the few limited parking places as the hotel is secure and in a wonderful central location. Breakfast was full continental with some great local preserves and really fresh bread and croissants.

Easy access to the town - you are in the middle of it. Wonderful old buildings wonderfully preserved. The hotel is super clean and modern inside and ancient looking on the outside. Just fantastic!!!!

GREAT location,which cant be beat. The hotel is right the center of the medieval town of Dinan.But take note!1. Parking in the hotel lot fills quickly and make sure that you get VERY clear instructions not only about parking but also how to get to the hotel itself. Since it is in a high pedestrian district I was blocked from entering and only when I called for the 3rd time did I get instructions to lift the chain that blocks the road. Lots of one way streets!2. Other things: I would ask to stay in upper rooms facing Room de Pavie, or the suite on the area above reception. Room 18 on the 1st floor above reception was dark and run down. Other issues. To conserve on electricity the lights in the hallways turn off after a minute or two and you are plunged into darkness so I was caught a few times in a dark hallway trying to open the door. Also, the only outlet for charging anything was under the desk. No outlets near bed, towels were worn out, but bathroom clean although very small. NO Air conditioning, but they were nice to provide a fanTwo female staff members at desk were really wonderful as well as gentleman who greeted me at breakfast. Older man at desk (owner?) seemed always too busy to greet me and never said good bye either!Had I been given a different room, and more instructions given about parking and the hallway lights it would have been a great stay . I would still recommend as long as you are aware of the above.

It is beautifully situated, the rooms are very clean and well laid out, the beds are soooo comfortable. Best of all, the hotel staff is extremely kind and helpful and wonderful with directions. Old Town Dinan is literally at your feet when you walk out the door.

This hotel is superbly located in the heart of Dinan. The staff is a10 out of 10, and the convenient parking is a huge plus. Some of the cons: lighting in the rooms is very poor. It is difficult to read in the bed because the side lamps are so dim. The rooms and especially the bathrooms could use serious updating. However, the hotel is charming, clean, super well located, so I would recommend it. We originally planned to stay one night and decided to stay for two.

Dinan is worth visiting for its half-timbered buildings and ambience. Hotel Arvor is elegant without being pretentious. Wonderful breakfast and comfortable rooms.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2015 for two nights and chose it due to its location in the centre of Dinan to attend a family function. The hotel is quirky at best and has no air conditioning. It was just about bearable for a September stay but I dread to think what it would be like in the summer months. Despite asking for a quiet room we were placed in a room where we could hear the church bells chime every fifteen minutes from 07.00 and hear the general activity outside the hotel. The hotel was very expensive for the basic room rate, everything else is extra, including breakfast and parking so we ended up paying well over EUR300 for the two night stay. We would definitely not stay at this hotel again which is a shame in some respects as it is in a great location and the staff couldn't do enough for us. However, I f you do stay here we hope that you don't have the same experience we did. In particular, we hope you don't encounter the hotel owner who parked in our allocated and paid for space and we had to wait for 20 minutes for him to be found to move his car and didn't even have the good grace to apologise.

Not as impressed as we could have been considering the price of the room. Breakfast was an expensive 12 euros each extra! Had stayed in prettier, cheaper B&Bs during our trip where a huge breakfast was provided so we were disappointed with the service for the price of this hotel.

This hotel delightfully exceeded our expectations and far exceeded its star rating. Dinan itself was delightful with an A+ rating for Purcell Restarant. Arvor is in a perfect location, is very stylishly renovated, with an excellent breakfast. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable.
