The Hotel is in a fine building a short walk from the town walls and all the many sights. It was immaculately clean and the charming staff obviously take great pride in it . The bed and bathroom were very comfortable and spotless . I only stayed for one night but would have been happy to stay much longer.

There was nothing I didn’t like. It was a pleasure to be a guest and the price represented the best value I encountered in France

This is a wonderful place to stay for a few days.

The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast was good. there was a lovely patio and terrace to enjoy a drink later in the afternoon and evening . The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The restaurants were within an easy walk through the medieval center of the town . It was lovely! We loved Dinan!

Our only complaint was the comfort of the bed. The mattress , in my opinion, should be of higher quality.

Highly recommend Hotel de la Porte Saint Malo-Dinan! It's family-run and it's clear that everyone works tireless to ensure that everything is perfect. Everyone at this lovely little hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful from booking us a place for supper to being really accommodating when our ferry home was cancelled. Dinan is beautiful and the location is excellent for exploring the town.

It is made up of a number of different houses so we all had to use different entrances to access our rooms at night time and there was nowhere we could all sit together in the evening once reception closed.

Charming, welcoming & well located hotel - we will be back!

Fabulous stay in this charming & well located hotel. Kevin and Roxana are so warm and welcoming. There is a small courtyard with upstairs terrace, perfect for a drink when we arrived hot and tired. Comfortable room for 3; our 5 year old had a bed in a separate section before bathroom with adjoining door so felt enough space for us all. Our teens had really nice double.

Comfort, location and history!

The staff was exceptional and they really helped providing us with local recommendations. It is a lovingly maintained place right outside the historic district of Dinan. We had been traveling through Normandy and Dinan was the prettiest city we visited and we wish we had booked 2 nights here

A perfect little hotel.we absolutely loved it!

Probably the prettiest and friendliest little hotel we have stayed in, in France. The welcoming friendly team of staff were exceptional, along with the beautiful tastefully decorated rooms. The breakfast was lovely, and certainly worth the money. We will certainly re visit, and recommend to friends and relatives.

It is newly renovated and comfortable. Kelvin and girls were very helpful and they helped carry the luggage up. Location is really best. You can walk to town and back easily a few times a day.

Lovely place to stay

We have had a great stay at this hotel! It’s in a good location, close to everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The room and common areas were clean and well-kept, which I really appreciated. One of the highlights was the breakfast – the apricot jam, fresh baguette, goat cheese and pastries were absolutely delicious. A lovely place to stay – thank you very much!

A SURPRISING GEM IN A QUIET LOCATION

Superb hotel renovation of a 400 yr old property with 17 bright, airy comfortable rooms, a perfect location 9 minutes on foot from the centre of wonderful medieval Dinan. Quiet pretty sunny courtyards/garden at rear, very generous breakfasts in bright airy room. Kevin and Roxanne are very helpful and welcoming hosts and their staff are exceptional and discrete. Public parking is available close by and it's free!

A little annoyance from roadside traffic on cobbled streets early morning but no big deal. There was nothing during our 4 night stay not to like. 😊

Beautiful historic hotel in Dinan

A lovely, historic hotel on the edge of Dinan with good access to the old city and Port. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was a good size, light, clean and airy and very quiet with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was continental style and very good with the food prepared on site and with care. I highly recommend this hotel.

A couple of points to be aware of when booking this hotel if arriving by your own car that parking is in the street, as available, however we did not have any issue unloading bags or finding a spot within easy walking distance of the hotel even on the weekend. Our room was on the top level up two flights of stairs however the staff were happy to help us take our bags to our room.
