Breakfast was continental style, owner very friendly and helpful, location great, restaurants close by. Enjoyed our stay

Staying at Palazzo Pantaleo was like a throwback to an earlier time, before corporate hotels and airbnb. The owner was present and attentive, the room was lovely, the breakfast, served in a small room, was excellent, the staff were very pleasant. The rooms themselves are updated – excellent wifi, and large, renovated bath. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Signor Pantaleo.

Great location for accessing central Palermo on foot.

We stayed at Palazzo Pantaleo for one night and had a wonderful experience. It offers a rare combination in central Palermo: the main attractions, restaurants, and lively streets are within walking distance, yet the hotel is remarkably peaceful. Set in a secluded courtyard behind surrounding buildings, it feels like an oasis in the heart of the action. A major advantage for anyone traveling through Sicily by car is the private parking directly in front of the hotel. Although the property is within a pedestrian-oriented, restricted-access area, guests can drive in and park on the premises—an extremely valuable and almost unique convenience in central Palermo. The rooms have the character of a traditional Sicilian palazzo, with impressively high ceilings of about 4–5 meters (13–16 feet). This creates a sense of space and preserves the atmosphere of an elegant early-20th-century residence. The owner is a charming older gentleman who makes every effort to care for his guests, often with a joke and distinctly Sicilian humor. His manner is authentically European—direct, witty, and refreshingly free of scripted smiles. American travelers may notice the cultural difference, but it is part of the property’s personality and charm. C’est la vie—and very pleasantly so! Breakfast was enjoyable, with fresh pastries and savory options. Overall, Palazzo Pantaleo offers historic character, tranquility, an unbeatable location, and the rare luxury of on-site parking. Highly recommended.
