Quiet neighborhood 40 minute boat ride to Sam Marco Square. Great breakfast. Great staff! Very accommodating. We had a small room unfortunately and the pillows could have been more comfortable

The property is in a good location just few hundred meters from the ferry. Staff was very personable. I really would like to give 5 stars, but because AC was not working on one of the hottest days in Venice, so cannot. Although a fan was provided later, it did very little to cool the room ( Unit 9) as it was on the top floor with little or no ceiling insulation and no windows. We had to open the ceiling vent/skylight at night to get what little outside air but all it did was invite mosquitoes that resulted in countless bites. Hopefully the AC unit is fixed by now for future guests.

We wondered about staying on a different island than the main part of Venice but we are so glad we did. It was less expensive for sure, but mostly we are glad because of the Villa and the atmosphere in the area. The place is in a quiet area but with plenty of restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. Villa Casanova provided clear directions on how to take a water bus to the island and it was a short walk from there. The room was wonderful and the staff and breakfast were great, too.

Alessandro and his staff were amazing. Great directions from the beginning. Our flight arrived late at night to Marco Polo airport and he was great with the instructions on how to reach the Villa and access information. I would definitely recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Venice and the Lido. Villa Casanova is less than a 10 minute walk from the vaporetta terminal and there are plenty of local restaurants and bars. We were here for Carivale and it was so pleasant to return to this tranquil villa after a manic day in Venice Check in was fast and efficient, our room really spacious and comfortable for a 6 night stay and breakfast every morning was great with plenty to eat and freshly brewed tea and coffee - the double espresso on day 1 set me up for San Marco! Thank you Alessandro and Cristina for making our trip so enjoyable and relaxing. You are great hosts

Perfect place to stay on Lido de Venezia. You will have all shopping close by. Also the vaperetto-station nearby gives you easy access to Venezia. The staff are helpful and make sure you will enjoy your stay.

Cute place to stay! 5 mins walk from the Lido waterbus stop. The staff was very extremely helpful! I had emailed them beforehand asking for directions on how to get to the villa. They provided me with detailed instructions including which train station to come to and which waterbus to take from there. There was a transportation strike on the day we were coming in and went above and beyond to help me figure out to get to Lido since the direct waterbus was not running due to the strike!

Warm and welcoming staff; very sweet upper room with skylights, easy to walk to ferry landing but located on a very quiet side street.

A/c unit did not work well and our drain was very slow / nearly plugged, plus the shower head wasn’t movable past one’s shoulders so you had to stoop to take a shower. None of these issues were resolved during our stay. It was so hot, I was surprised they didn’t even have a fan to offer us when we told them that our a/c didn’t work. However - the neighborhood is residential and quiet, close to the beach, the service was otherwise excellent, and the property is quaint. A good value for Venice in high season but you sacrifice a bit of comfort.

We enjoyed staying in this restored, 1930s villa in Lido, just a short vaporetto (water bus) ride away from Venice. The neighborhood was safe, quiet, and full of excellent restaurants. Our hosts were friendly and gave us good directions for sightseeing in Venice. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices: yogurt, meat, cheese, croissants, rolls, cereal, and excellent coffee or cappuccino. Our only reservations: the house is a little shabby, with worn carpets, and the receptionist forgot to show us how to use the electricity card, which must be used in the room in order to have electricity. Other than that, this is a great place to stay to sightsee in Venice!

Villa Cassanova was the best hotel/pension we stayed in for or 6 city 2 week European trip. Service was faultless beginning with prompt and helpful answers to questions I e-mailed regarding getting to the property by ferry from the rail station to outstanding breakfasts and general friendliness of the managers. The room was elegant and the bathroom functional. The location is convenient as it is only a 10 minute walk to the ferry and a little more to a good range of restaurants. The Palace of the Doges is a short ferry ride away. If you're going to Venice do yourself a favour and stay at Villa Cassanova

Villa Casanova is a beautiful building and Francesca and her husband are both lovely people who are more than willing to assist you in any way to make your stay in Venice as stress free as possible. My only moan is that there is no tea coffee making facility in the room - other than that I'd have no qualms about staying there again

Small and very well-run hotel/b&b in a quiet sidestreet on the Lido, but still very central only a few minutes wall from the waterbus-stop and the restaurants on the Lido Gran viale (main street). Not more than ten minutes walk down to the Lido beach. Most of all Villa Casanova is a friendly place with owner Allesandro and his sidekick Daniela doing their outmost to make the guests feel welcome. Breakfast is good with fresh bread, croissants etc every morning. We had a weeks stay and felt we were being treated like family. It really was that good!

This is a lovely quiet, clean and well located hotel just 6-8 minutes walk from the water buses at the quayside on the Lido. The choices at the buffet breakfast were vast and covered all tastes. Our room overlooked the front garden and was quiet and comfortable with wifi access. All staff were so friendly and helpful especially Daniela who did her absolute best to help and provide information and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return again!

The Villa was near the vaporetto stop in the Lido. Very good location. We had a warm welcome by the host and he is a very good barista in the morning. The room was clean and the breakfast excellent. We received good advice from Alexandro to visit Venise. We were happy to comeback in the Lido in the evening to enjoy quiet .....

This beautiful villa is a short walk from the water bus station. Stayed 5 nights with our little boy who now wants to live there. Walking into the square every night for an evening meal was bliss-family friendly, good places to eat, the sound of jazz being played, all fabulous. A short walk to the beach and a short water bus ride to St. Mark's Square, with the most gorgeous views. Hotel staff were so friendly and full of great advice and the breakfasts were delicious, eaten in the garden. A really relaxed stay. Would love to go back.

Marina was waiting for us when we arrived. Very nice lady and she has lots of advice for the area. She suggested a little restaurant for our first evening and it was spot on! Delicious and reasonably priced. A great varied breakfast is served daily.
