    If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the Venice hotels then this hotel on Lido is a good option. The rooms are affordable and spacious. Our room also had two small balconies facing the Adriatic. It's a 15 minute to the Vaporetto which gets you to Venice in about 15 minutes.

    Our stay at Hotel Venezia 2000 was a mixed experience. We had booked a family room with one double bed and two single beds, but upon arrival we were given a room in a separate building with very poor conditions. The room did not match what we paid for: instead of two proper single beds, there was one double bed, one worn-out single bed, and a portable fold-out bed, which is not acceptable as a standard single bed. The receptionist was polite and tried to help us find a suitable room, but the hotel owner was extremely rude and uncooperative. She initially refused to acknowledge the issue and even asked for an extra €100 to upgrade the room. After further discussion and intervention from the receptionist, we were eventually offered an appropriate room. However, the process was stressful and unprofessional, and at one point the owner even refused to change our room, claiming we had already “made it dirty,” which was not true. Additionally, during our 2-night stay, the room was not cleaned, and neither bed linens nor towels were changed. On a positive note, the breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options, including many gluten-free choices, which was greatly appreciated.
