Beautiful Hotel - we stayed for one night as going to a show in York - great location, room was a good size and luxurious. Had a full stocked fridge if you wanted to treat yourself - would be good if there was an ice try in the freezer for guests to use. Also didn’t realise that breakfast was just a choice of some cereals and breakfast buns that are pre ordered and brought to your room as would have preferred a sit down breakfast but was a treat to have breakfast in bed

Excellent hotel can’t fault it - so close to centre without being noisy - beautiful clean room and a reception 24-7 - will be returning and highly recommend

I have stayed in so many hotels and I have to stay this wasn't the best. Location is amazing but apart from that is quite basic. Its not luxury as its claimed and even the toiletries cowshed that they advertise on the website is not what they provide. If I knew that I would have brought my own products from home. I didnt sleep very well the bed was not comfortable, the pillows are lumpy as well as being hot in the room. They have provided small fan which helped a bit. I also didn't like the fact that the fridge and side cabinet are fun with drinks and snacks it's like a shop so you have to stop yourself from being tempted otherwise you'll end up with a hefty bill at the end. Some of the staff were friendly and unfortunately some weren't, I didnt have the best encounter on my arrival however I had a very nice and friendly receptionist on our last day which is delightful to see . On one of the nights I asked if I could get a clean mug to have my tea but I was told I'm not allowed I have to wait to the next morning when I have the room serviced. I wasn't impressed. There's a lot of things I can mention but honestly the only thing that was excellent is the location .
