The staff was so friendly and helpful at the hotel. By far the best service we've had in terms of front desk assistance and support. The hotel is a bit older and doesn't come with the frills of a newer hotel. For example, the fold-out couch in the living room looks like it's been around for a while, however, for the price, it's to be expected. Things to know if you are booking here to save money - you will need to have a car to get to Siena w/ kids. It's about a 20 minute steep walk uphill and on some busy roads just to get to the outside walls of Siena's center. If you are driving, then be prepared to drive about 15 minutes and some of that time will be spent driving down some really narrow, pedestrian filled streets to get to a parking lot. Most of the parking lots you have to pay for b/c the one free parking lot books up quickly. HUGE perk was this hotel has a really beautiful pool w/ an amazing view of the city and a laundry facility which was key for us w/ younger kids. We went in August when it was really hot so being able to wash those close and take a dip in the pool was really nice.

I cannot praise the Borgo Grondaie enough. The staff were excellent, couldn't be more personable and helpful. The place was quiet and restful. The pool was excellent. This is just the place to stay for a restful stay in Siena. Siena centre is a short walk away using the escalators nearby. The gardens are beautiful and well kept.

This is a beautiful hotel right out of Sienna. 5 minutes by car. The hotels room and bathroom are spacious and pretty. Nice dining area inside and outside on the court. Great breakfast included. Very friendly and nice staff too. The gardens outside are beautiful and make you feel in Tuscany. I definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Sienna. The place is beautiful and very well located.

My only suggestion for people looking to book would be that you might want to rent a car. It is technically walking distance to centre of town in Siena but it’s a bit of an awkward walk uphill.

Beautiful hotel and awesome location. Hotel is located at the edge of Siena central city. An easy walk to the city with the added benefit of being in a quiet location. We loved Siena! The grounds were beautiful as was the hotel and room. The room was a spacious apartment with a large bedroom full of windows overlooking the beautiful grounds. Also,a comfortable king bed with an attached living room and kitchen. We cooked in our room one night with the supplies from the large grocery store a short walk from the hotel. Dishes, utensils and cooking pans supplied in the room. The train and bus terminal were a short walk from the hotel for easy connections to other areas. We loved this hotel so much we extended our stay an extra day.

This hotel is on a slop behind central bus and railway station and close to shopping. It could be a bit tricky to get into the city center, but once it is figured out, it is pretty easy. It combines both the benefits of convenience and quietness for me. It may be a bit issue for people who have a lot of luggages or elderly travelers as it requires a bit uphill walking. The hotel service is excellent, the staff was really friendly and professional. They also provided helpful information of cooking classes I was looking for; the breakfast was freshly prepared, cappuccino was so yummy! The bed and sheets are high quality and clean! Overall, the service and ambience is super, I am beyond satisfied.

With a lovely view of the northern side of Siena, Borgo Grondaie is convenient, yet hidden away at the same time. A series of small Tuscan buildings around a central patio makes the property very convenient to its amenities. The outdoor terrace for breakfast is there as is the reception and the main bar. The saltwater pool is a few steps away and nicely maintained. There's a laundry for guests as well. My room was a good size and in immaculate condition. First class. The staff were lovely and I'll return next time I am in Siena.

We’ve stayed at Borgo Grondaie 3 times and wouldn’t go anywhere else in Siena. Great location by the station, with walking distance to conveniences and the city centre. Staff are incredibly hospitable and friendly making the stay comfortable and special. The hotel has everything you need for a great stay including a beautiful pool and laundry facilities. We were looking for a quiet place to sleep within reasonable walking distance of Siena where we could prepare our own meals for a few days in between other adventures. The apartment was perfect, the staff were helpful and we were an easy stroll to a Coop where we could get our own food. The walk to town is about 15 minutes but pleasant and easy when you use the escalator from the train station. I wish we had been there in warmer weather when we might have used the pool as it looks lovely. If we are ever back in the area we would certainly stay here again.

This is a very nice place with nature all around where you can relax. We shared an apartment with our friends. There were 2 bedrooms and in one of the rooms there were place for your clothes as there was a big wardrobe but the other room had none only a dresser. You could order breakfast for the next morning but we chose to do our own. We would like to sit outdoor in front of our apartment but there was no table or chairs we could use. In the park area behind the building there was a barbecue area with 2 benches and a table. We asked for a table and chairs and no problem, we got that and enjoyed having this close to us. They did everything so we could have a nice stay, and we had. If we should suggest anything it would be nice with more tables and chairs around in this beautiful place - it is a huge park with deer running around. We loved staying here in these calm surroundings and only a 20 minutes walk to the old city center and Coop only 5 minutes walk away.

It is very easy to walk to the main square yet it’s far enough where it feels like you are staying in a Tuscan villa. The pool was a bonus after a day of wine tastings. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Everything about this place was great!
