Beautiful views, helpful staff, amazing amenities, just a short walk from whaler’s village, but there is also a trolley to get there which is amazing.

It was not just the room that smelled bad, it was the entire property! Very old and dark everywhere. We booked the hotel because it was advertised as a recently remodeled property, but it was not. The location was great and property, though old, was spacious and had lots of potential. To top it all the check in was horrible as the front desk guy decided to be nasty, and the service staff in the restaurant was very rude.

You’re paying for location which is one of the best IMO. Better than Wailea beaches. Only area I’d stay other than this is Napili. This is for people who care more about the beach than luxury.
Rooms are VERYYY dated.You get what you pay for & this place is reasonably priced compared to other options on the island so I would say yes it provides value for money (when comparing to other options only).
Zero extras. Toiletries are not replenished. Ran out of hand soap first day never got refilled. Carpets in room are dirty for sure. Cleaning is every other day. Our flush stopped working a few times we fixed it ourselves. Our safe didn’t work when we first got there - the staff fixed that. No Netflix on tv - get your fire stick. Bed is comfy. Pillows are nice. No complaints with cleanliness of sheets. Shower pressure is weak. No bathrobes. No microwave. They do have a fridge. I was just happy there were no bugs. We stayed in the ocean view tower. I was expecting the noise from other rooms to travel based on other reviews due to thin walls (we got a white noise machine for that). But we did not really have that problem. We chose not to get breakfast on the property. Yes the parking fees are over the top but you can’t avoid it at 40 per day (no nearby alternatives) so just take that into account when booking. It will get noisy in evenings from 6-8 because of the luau which looks like a rip off at 230 per person.
So just be aware you’re going for what’s considered a budget accommodation on the island & it will definitely be sufficient. 3 stars not 4.
Would I stay here again? No. Was I disappointed I stayed here? No. It served its purpose & it’s a one and done for us.
