If you want to stay in a small characterful boutique hotel in a very pleasant area of Cheltenham then look no further. The hotel has a very welcoming feel and all members of staff we met were really helpful and pleasant. The hotel has a really lovely lounge area and if we were staying longer, I would have definitely used it as a quiet reading spot, likewise the small courtyard area adjacent to the restaurant. We stayed in Room 14 which was on the top floor of the hotel. As there is no lift, probably not the best room for someone with mobility difficulties as the stairs are quite steep, although this wasn’t an issue for us and the room was beautiful. We also liked the personal touches in the room of the port, biscuits and biogs of the main members of staff. But the stand out factor of our stay was the food. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were exceptional. I don’t normally have three courses but couldn’t resist the scallops with pea purée, followed by fillet steak and finally a rhubarb soufflé. Breakfast was also a triumph. So huge thanks to both chefs - you certainly delivered and we would definitely recommend you. All in all the hotel made our stay in Cheltenham and I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent hotel
Well located
Great breakfast and evening meals
Good communal lounge areas
Quirky specious room (double)
Only downside was that we found the room very warm,(we had a couple of warm April days) there was a fan it didn’t really cool the room, just glad it wasn’t peak Summer.
Limited parking onsite 4 spaces, but enough on street parking so no issue.
Enjoyable stay overall.
