The place was shared with other guests who were clearly under the influence. I felt unsafe staying and after speaking to the host, he did not take my complaint seriously and was unprofessional.

Affordable and a good distance from city centre for a last minute booking but dirty and gross.

It was nice that it was within walking distance to the city centre.

When we got there, the room we were staying in hadn’t even been cleared of the mess from the previous guests. There was leftover food and takeaways boxes, empty bottles and the headboards of the beds had come off completely. Not to mention one of the beds was horribly stained and dirty and not even aligned with the wall. My friend ended up sleeping on the little couch (thank god that was there) while I slept in the other bed, as it looked less dirty than the other one. When I woke up in the morning, though, I had hives on my skin so clearly they hadn’t been cleaned either (not that we were surprised at this). We weren’t expecting high quality for the affordable price, but we were at least expecting the room to be clean, which it most definitely was not. The photos I’ve attached show the state of the room when we got there. We hadn’t even touched anything beyond putting our bags on the couch!

The bed was comfortable

Access instructions not provided until after arrival causing me to contact booking.com. The toilet seat was broken. The shower had poor pressure. One occupant of the property was walking around a lot during the night making noise. Wouldn't stay again

Very bad experience un a bad mood we are.our money just wasted

I have very bad experience we travelled from Manchester but the is really bad condition, bed is broken,bed sheet is very dirty, we tried to approach host but he is not responding us ,he is a careless person regarding our booking, feeling very disappointed about our stay here.

Bedsheets is really dirty, bed is broken, not clean one room,me and my partner are not feeling well,our stay here is totally useless we spent only one hours hardly there, we used to sit in living room during our stay .

Very Much a Drug DEN

its practically a mini drug den/ trap house Addicts crawling around the property , because the landlord is cahoots with their suppliers. Don't bother this property is not worth it. its not even the cheapest property in Zone 1. There is a zoning system on the West Midlands Metro ,Duh! but you wouldn't know that , You probably drive everywhere.

Horrible

The location was in the city centre which is what we needed.

It was absolutely disgusting. The front entrance was filthy, the bathroom toilet was dirty as was the shower and the sink covered in hairs. The other toilet seat was broken and moved when you sat on it. Only one light bulb worked in our bedroom, and when looking behind the headboard, the skirting boards were filthy, as was the floor underneath the sofa as it had a layer of dust, obviously contradicting the host’s comments on here about it being “professionally cleaned” after every checkout. To top it all off, he failed to inform us there was someone else staying in the property at the same time, which could’ve been very dangerous if they were a criminal. Said person left the property at one point and had left the front door wide open. It was so bad we had originally booked for two nights but left after the first night as we felt grubby and wanted to get home for a decent shower (which was also filthy here). Yes it was cheap, yes it was in a location where we needed it, but in terms of safety and hygiene, it was not worth the price at all.

Sadly gets got worse!!!

Stayed at the property same time last year with No problems, sadly has gone down hill , the host is a nice chap, had a tv with net flix last year this year No working TV at all , worst thing for me was not being able to have a shower in the morning as no towels provided I sent a msg to the host at 7am with no reply whatsoever.. on the plus is very cheap don't expect much for the price Granted but no being able to wash ovs would have brought a towels if had known, no info about this at all, so sorry really got give zero marks this year!

Good place to stay for a brief time in Birmingham, close to the city centre.

The room was adequately equipped. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The internet access was good. The price was rather low.

- The windows are not easy to open (like in many British flats...) - kitchen could be equipped better, for example a sharp knife would be nice - the entrance required some effort to open the door - the overall cleanliness was OK, but there are some stains on the walls, that could have been painted. - the owner called me with request to leave my room, when I already was on the street. :-)

Best match price-quality

Excellent variant for budget tourist - flat have everything you need if your goal is travelling and new emotions, it`s simple but practish accomodation to satisfy all basic needs, refresh yourslelf atrar day plenty of exploring and be rerady for the next day:) For me but was perfect and nothing else needed. Definitelly will choose again when will be next time in the city :)

Everything fine depending on price - I`ll say once again - if you want 5 star hotel - you`ll need to pay another price. That variant for people who love travelling firstly

Disappointing experience

The host was very communicative and welcoming; he tried his best to make sure that the check-in experience and our stay went smoothly. The location of the property is very convenient, really close to the city centre. The beds in our room were also quite comfortable. Access to the kitchen area was also really good and the room was heated during the night.

The entrance to the building and the stairwell are extremely filthy with a strong smell, and the door to the building cannot be locked. The environment is extremely unpleasant (including the street area). The apartment needs to be majorly cleaned up and repaired. The room and bathroom locks are very shabby (barely locking), the shower had signs of mould, and the toilet was very unstable when sitting on it. The bedsheets were also not quite clean, as we found hair strands under the covers upon our arrival. Unfortunately, overall, I would not recommend staying here, despite the apartment's central location.

Not very clean - bathroom full of mould, kitchen bin full to the brim, lots of out of date food in the fridge, lots of hair etc on the bathroom sink, light fittings very dusty - not good for two travellers with asthma.

Disgusting I don’t recommend anyone to stay here, all the pictures in the websites are alway a lie

I didn’t like anything it was a horrible experience the place was filthy and smells of weed everywhere. I was told by staff I would be meted with when I arrived but when I arrived nobody was there and they was no keys left out. I rang staff and I got no answer me and my mother had to sleep on the streets until the next morning when we stayed at another hotel

The shower was dirty, no hygiene bin located in the toilet, no bin in the kitchen just a bag dumped on the floor which had something spilled inside so it was wet, sockets in the bedroom were lose and getting in the front door without assistance was practically impossible.

Useful at last minute, but wouldn't book again.

We liked the lock on the bedroom door, the private bedroom and the option of two toilets. We didn't need to physically meet with anyone, it was quite a simple process of gaining entry. The landlord left us to our own devices, toilet roll was stocked up and the bathrooms were clean. The bedding was clean and fairly comfortable and there was a TV, canvas wardrobe and window in the room.

The area is questionable and the building is quite an eye sore. We came back to the property, which is in a small block of flats, and there was someone doing drugs in the doorway and we felt quite unsafe. This of course isn't the booking.com landlords fault, but I do think had we seen the property prior we wouldn't of booked.

It was a bedroom with a flimsy lock in a flat shared by the host and another customer. I thought I had sole use of the flat. No lock on the shared bathroom door. I admire the host for his enterprise, if the description was more clear, it would have been OK. I wouldn't have taken the room.
