Milleventi Apartments Bologna

The location was very convenient, the apartment itself had everything we needed and was comfortable and cool even in a heatwave.

It took us a couple of days to find the controls for the shutter in the kitchen 😂 Otherwise no problems!

A great quiet apartment set in a residential block and a superb location for access to the railway station (10 minute walk) and the Old Town (15 minute walk). Lovely facilities and well maintained throughout our 8 day stay. Alessandro is a great host and always accessible via WhatsApp with clear instructions on how to access the apartment and clarifying any queries we had. A highly recommended place to book if you're staying in Bologna.

It would have been good to have some home comforts such as side tables alongside the sofa to have drinks at hand. A bin in the bathroom would also be useful.

Alessandro allowed an early check-in and the place was clean when we arrived with everything ready. The location was close to the train station and about a 15 minute walk from Piazza Maggiore. There were some good restaurants nearby, and Alessandro was helpful with recommendations. He was always fast to respond with good communication. If you need a supermarket there is an Aldi close to the apartment. It was easy to get a taxi using the TaxiClick or BTaxi apps. The apartment was clean with new appliances. The washer worked well, but be aware there is no dryer, which seemed to be a common theme at all the places we stayed in Italy. There was a drying rack for clothes and an iron and ironing board. The building seemed very safe and was very quiet. I could not hear any noise from the street or neighbors during our stay.

As a small improvement, I would like a small trash can in the bathrooms instead of just under the kitchen sink. The showers did not have a place to put soap or the bottles of shampoo/body wash. I put mine on the floor of the shower stall, but it is harder for my parents in their 70s to crouch to pick up and put down the bottles. A shower caddy or adhesive shower shelf would be an inexpensive fix for this issue.

The location is excellent, close to the train station, with two supermarkets nearby, and close to the city center. There is a mirror in front of the bed

The living room balcony window cannot be closed with curtains, meaning there is no privacy. If you have a baby and your baby shares a bed with both of you, the bed is too small; only one adult can sleep on the sofa outside, but I personally don't like sleeping on the sofa. Actually, the bedroom is wide enough to fit a larger bed.
