Game room was in poor condition and needs to be cleaned..disappointment for the kids as they were looking forward to it..could not use the deck and was only notified of this 3 hrs prior to check in...fireplace was out of order..jets did not work in master tub..kitchen items need to be updated and at first house looked clean but found quite a few cobwebs...the view was very nice...inquired on how to open garage door but never received an answer..no handrails on front steps and on part of interior steps which was quite dangerous for one of us that has mobility issues..we go to this location often but will not be returning to this listing

We booked this property for a 4th of July vacation because of the description "panoramic views of the water . . . the best background while grilling burgers on the deck." And since the weather on the Oregon coast can be rainy and chilly, we also looked forward to the "cozy fireplace" and the "game room" for comfort and fun. Sounds perfect, right? Sadly, there was no grill and no deck. The day we were traveling to Bandon, we received a message saying that the deck "has been deemed unsafe to use and access has been blocked for your safety." Presumably this was due to an inspection that very day. When we arrived we found the sliding doors to the deck had been screwed shut. There was no grill anywhere we could find. So our plan to grill burgers on the deck while viewing July 4th fireworks was not going to happen. Sorry kids! The night we arrived it was quite chilly. The lock code did not work. After some time texting back and forth to the management company from the chilly porch in a light drizzle, we got the code to a lock box with a backup key. No problem, we thought, we can warm up by the fireplace. But the fireplace did not work and a note explained that they had been waiting for a part to repair it for more than a year. Moreover, because the windows were dirty with bird droppings, a crusting of sea salt and some mud balls splattered on them, the view was definitely not as described. When we checked the game room, the shuffleboard and air hockey games didn't function and the ping pong and foosball tables were marginal at best. My son and I played a little ping pong with the one good ball we could find, but the garage that housed the "game room" was damp and musty so we didn't play long. We contacted management about a partial refund our first day and were told someone would get back to us. We checked back a few times and were repeatedly told we "just need to wait a bit more" to receive a response regarding compensation and ultimately never received a reply to this request. We did receive a request for a review that we are completing now in order to alert others that the house is not as advertised. Sadly for us the property we were promised was not the one we found. I understand how a last minute discovery of an unsafe deck could be the consequence of long-deferred maintenance or just bad luck, but continuing to advertise a fireplace that hasn't worked for a year seems wrong. To be fair, there are good things to say about the property. We liked the location - the proximity to the beach and to town. The rooms are large and comfortable even if one of the beds is perched in a loft over the entry hall (a bit unconventional). The house could be a real gem if it was properly maintained. But its description at the time we rented was inaccurate.

We received a text an hour before we checked in that the deck was unsafe and not to be used. When we arrived the sliding doors to the deck were screwed closed to not be opened at all. This prevented any fresh airflow in the house. Other small windows mostly had no screens. Very dirty windows! Main reason we chose this house was the enclosed deck area for our dog and us to eat, relax, enjoy the scenery. None of that was available. Fireplace also with a sign it was broken. Worst experience, Vacasa will not respond after multiple attempts. Beware of both this house and Vacasa!!

Multiple issues with this property, certainly not worth 700/night all in.1) the windows were filthy, obstructing the “money” view,2) badly maintained and rusty grill, with a propane tank so rusted out it looks dangerous,3) communication with the property manager was slow and very “bot-like”,4) dusty furnishings, like the fake tree next to the bed,5) torn screen door off the master bedroom,You get the idea.

It was near the beach, that is the only positive comment I have for this property!
