About this house rental

Built in the 1930's, the Face Rock Retreat triplex is a three-level home situated in the cliffs along scenic Beach Loop Drive. In addition to stunning views of one the most spectacular and interesting beaches on the Oregon Coast, this property boasts rare private access that allows you to be on the beach in less than a minute!

Located on the second level of Face Rock Retreat, Surf Song offers a full kitchen, dining area, living area, master bedroom en suite with shower, two additional bedrooms and main bathroom with shower/tub combo. This unit accommodates a maximum of 9 people and, as of 2018, has been recently renovated with all new furnishings that create a fusion of rustic cabin and modern design elements.

Surf Song amenities include large deck with a picnic table and BBQ. The living room area with 43" flat screen TV with Spectrum Gold channels and a Blu-ray player, second flat screen TV in master suite, high speed Internet/Wi-Fi, local and long-distance phone service, in-unit stacking washer/dryer, hair dryers and access to the first level which includes a new "Family Room" with half-bath and large laundry room (shared with housekeeping) with second refrigerator/freezer/icemaker.

If you are hosting a gathering of 10 to 13, consider reserving the entire home including the third floor North Loft and South Loft above Surf Song.

Beautiful views, you truly cant get better Oregon coast ocean views. I found the stairs difficult to navigate with our suitcases, cooler, groceries. But the house was nice and had a cozy cabin feel. There is a large family room for the house downstairs, but has outdoor stairs, kinda odd. But it has a big tv, livingroom and the large game table was nice. The only complaint we had was the internet, we lost signal multiple times on the upstairs, main television. But, I'm sure this will be resolved. I'm over 70, so my difficulty with the stairs would not be a younger persons issue. We loved the view, the comfortable and clean house and the little town of Bandon was a pleasant stay.

The location was fantastic. There are some stairs to navigate, some from the house to the beach but more from the house to the parking area (40) and our cell reception was spotty (wi-fi great, however). Place was clean and well-stocked. Would come back again in a heartbeat!

With an incredible view of Bandon Beach, quick access, and a great restaurant across the road one could not be in a better location. We loved it. Side light included time mountain biking at Whiskey Run Mtn Bike Park North of Bandon, walking Bandon Beach, enjoying each other's company eating out and in. A wonderful time.

We came to slow down, decompress, and chill. We succeeded. We walked in to a beautiful house and straight to the balcony overlooking the beach. Noise warning: the waves are awesome and with hypnotize you. Low tide hours were filled exploring the beach, rocks, caves, everything. My 11 yr was willing to forgo electronics and explore on the beach. Climb rocks, jumping waves, you name it. We loved it enough that we want to make this a repeat visit. Thank you for having everything you needed wrapped up in a beautiful home. Your instructions were perfect.

We had a great stay. The house is very clean and tidy, the kitchen has everything you need. The living room has an awesome view. The property management is very responsive. We enjoyed walking at the beach and watching the tides.

This property is comparatively older, but it's nicely maintained. View is incomparable. Easy access to the beach. Spacious with an upper level with three bedrooms and a lower level family room with a huge video screen. There's an upstairs unit (level 3). Renters were noisy the first night. Once they were gone, our stay was blissful. Property managers attended to our needs promptly and professionally. Can't say enough good things about them. The unit needs a recycling bin. Everything else one could want--and more--available.

Wow! Surf Song is an amazing place. The view from the deck is out of this world. We ate every meal out there and sat watching the sunset every night. The apartment itself is wonderful as well - clean, well stocked, and nicely decorated, but the view from the deck and it’s location right on the beach is what sets this place apart. It’s amazing!!! Go there! You won’t be disappointed!

We had an amazing time. Everyone loved it. This Bandon Beach is very unique. We can't wait to visit again. The only issue was the grill. It was pretty dirty and wouldn't light. Not sure if the propane tank was empty or what. But it wasn't that big of a deal. The kids also loved that they could pick blackberries right on the stairs. Its a trip we will remember for ever. We came for the view and it did not disappoint! The property was perfectly situated on Bandon Beach allowing us to relax, go for beach walks, and enjoy our time on the coast. The kitchen was full of everything we needed to prepare meals, the throw blankets were appreciated while sitting on the porch, and everything was clean and easy to find throughout the property. Overall a 4/5 wish I could have stayed longer. The beach acess and the views make this place and are the reason I hope to return. It was clean and Spacious for 7 of us and the extra living space was good for the older kids. Only dings are for the BBq and BBq utensil cleanliness, we arrived for check in 5min early and it wasnt ready fornus yet, we didnt know from the listing that there was an upstairs unit (we thought we had the house to ourselves). Will definitely be back, and have already recommended 👌

There are steps to access the property which is described in the listing. We were only in the area for two nights so did not use the lower level family room. Direct beach access which is great especially if you are visiting for Circles in the Sand. Close to town if you don't want to cook and want to try local food.

This was my 4th stay at Surf Song, and as always it was awesome! We were 4 women needing a getaway for rest, fresh air, and fun. The beds are comfortable, with soft linens, and pillows. Two sliding doors to open and let in the sound of the tide rolling in and out. The fully loaded kitchen, we had everything to prepare our simple meals, but we’ve always had what we needed to make more complex dishes. All of this contributes to a comfortable stay, but it’s the location, and views that make Surf Song my favorite stay in Bandon.

I’d have to say this is the best beach rental we’ve ever had (and we’ve stayed at several). I’m a landscape photographer and was thrilled to capture amazing photos right from our deck of the beautiful beach and sea stacks with the night sky and sunrises/sunsets. And when I chose to actually go onto the beach it was just a few stairsteps away. If we ever return to Bandon (hopefully someday!) we would rent this place again. The description is accurate and there are many thoughtful details to make the stay a pleasant one.

Everything about this trip was amazing. Booking was easy! Communication from the property manager was outstanding and included directions to the property. Parking could have been a little clearer but we did show up at night in the middle of a huge windstorm. The property was so clean and so well appointed. From the modern updates, classy furniture, quality linens all the way to designer dishware we felt very pampered. There was a horrible storm the night we arrived and most of the next day and we felt safe and cozy. It was so awesome to watch the waves come all the way up to the bottom of the stairs to the beach. The view, I can’t even. The pictures don’t do it justice. Sadly, we didn’t realize our rental had access to the family room until we were leaving and had to find the laundry ‘downstairs’. Guess we will have to come back because that room was stunning.
