Stunning cottage in perfect location

Had booked a dreadful b&b in Blackpool and after one night we left and booked a last minute stay at Old Smithy Cottage instead. The cottage is stunning and provided the good night's sleep we all desperately needed! Teenagers appreciated the cake and biscuits! We all appreciated the log burner. We intended to go back to Blackpool that evening but got so comfy in front of the fire we ordered takeaway and stayed put. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

That we had to go home the next day! That's literally all there is to dislike!

Beautiful cottage with very comfortable facilities in nice surroundings.

The village was very nice and it was a convenient location for us to visit friends.The property is beautifully maintained and decorated to a very high standard, we found the beds really comfortable and the facilities were excellent. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!😊

I couldn’t recommend highly enough Old Smithy Cottage from the communications from Carley to the quiet picturesque location and the gorgeous pristine cottage. Everything was perfect and infact we’ve just booked there again! Mike and Wendy

Perfect stay!

Everything in the cottage was so comfortable and it's in such a peaceful location - we felt very rested after our stay. It was equipped with everything we could possibly have needed - even cake, biscuits and condiments. Carley is lovely. Very friendly and accommodating. We would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Beautifully presented cottage, ideal for a short break

Clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable property. The location was great, 15minutes from Blackpool and shops, restaurants a few minutes away in Poulton-le-fylde. Lovely outdoor space.

Excellent!

A lovely cottage in a lovely little village. All rooms to good standard with all amenities and a private driveway for your car. An extra bonus is the Greedy Badger pub offering excellent food with great service very close to the cottage. Highly recommend.

Stylish and comfortable

Lovely house, furnished well with lots of little extra touches. We loved the fresh flowers, cake and the fact that we didn’t have to buy salt, pepper, washing up liquid etc - we only stayed one night and these things were provided amongst others. Friendly and helpful hosts. Thanks!

The cottage was stunning, had a lovely homely feel as soon as you walked in. Perfect location, very peaceful. The owner added little touches for our stay which was unexpected and a lovely surprise. Great communication from the owner. Overall fabulous stay, we will be returning! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Location and comfort!

Second visit to the cottage. Just as good as the first time. Location is perfect, between blackpool and preston, great for shopping and family days out. Comfort is key in this cottage with sofa, bed and bath all ticking the boxes. Also little touches like milk in the fridge, biscuits and a cake really make you feel welcome

This property ticked all the boxes, clean, great location and most importantly for us pet friendly.

The cottage is easily located in a lovely area, we were attending my sons wedding but needed a place we could bring our two dogs that was near to the venue (The River Barn) the cottage was 7 mins by car which meant we could pop back throughout the day. The garden is fully secured and there is a lovely open sun house at the back.

Girlie Retreat

The cottage was beautiful. It was lovely to come away and have the luxury of home comforts, very comfortable and the garden was lovely to sit out at night, it was excellent and definitely booking again to go twice a year.

We could tell dogs had stayed previously, but that didn't matter. We still had a great time.

We went to Lytham festival and just wanted somewhere within 30 mins of Lytham.

The communication with Carley from the outset was excellent. We were able to check in a couple of hours early and also depart an hour later than the standard time. The welcome items and card were a lovely touch. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for our one night stay.

Very comfortable well appointed cottage. Thoughtful touches like an Easter card and chocs. Milk in the fridge. Easy wifi. Nice bathroom with a good shower. Cute ‘living room’ in the garden. Close to a nice looking pub although sadly we arrived after they stopped serving food. Close to Poulton, Blackpool.
