Gästehaus Ruh - Non-Smoking

Was a nice location and everything was as stated online. i left my jacket behind and they helped me get it sent back to my location.

Checking in and out was quite confusing as the staff kinda just gave me the key and didnt say much else. also checking out at 7am, no one was around and i had to open the hotel door and leave the key just in the front. was easy but overall was confusing.

A regular size room, in a nice part of the city. The room itself was reasonably clean.

It is advertised as non smoking but there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, even though the window was open. I could smell tobacco as soon as I entered the hotel, so this wasn't just our room. There was a notice to not smoke but there was an ashtray on the table, that certainly sends mixed signals. Hallways and stairway were dirty, with a threadbare carpet. Overall it looks like a place that has seen better days. The fitted sheets were clean but looked like they have been used far too many times. I do not recommend this, it was definitely the worst place we stayed at on this holiday.

The room was comfortable, and there was an EV charging point within walking distance. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant on site. The breakfast was good—a standard German breakfast with bread, cheese, meat, yoghurt, and boiled eggs

Parking was quite busy, so we ended up parking across the street. Check-in is also later than at most establishments.
