The White Horse Inn

Room was very clean and staff on duty were extremely friendly. The Inn was a charming old building. Dinner was very good

I didn’t like the fact that the fire escape was locked, I was given a key but this would not have been satisfactory in the event of an emergency ie no lights and not finding the key quickly enough When I went downstairs just before breakfast the door from bar to steep stairs up to the rooms was locked, I am not sure if this was coincidental with the cleaners working but if the door was locked and we were “locked in “ upstairs this was v poor re health and safety in view of my comment about the fire escape key I couldn’t locate the switch for the shower I asked for help (when the door was opened for me to get from upstairs ) the person I spoke to said she “didn’t do showers “ but did eventually come and help Me find the switch I was disappointed with the breakfast as the scrambled eggs were very overdone, no one asked me if I wanted more tea or toast either

Lovely location, ample parking, quick check in. recently refurbished bathrom. Good food at a reasonable price and friendly team who were very helpful. Room facilities replenished mid stay. Excellent heavy duty fan in room.

The room as very hot and 1 window didn't open at all. There was a fan but it was difficult to set up without moving furniture. Bedding very hot for a heatwave.
