Lovely staff, friendly locals, great food, room was clean and spacious.
Radiator wasn't working but there was a plug in heater so not bad.

Building and breakfast staff.
Breakfast and evening meal were good.
The bar closed at 8.30pm each night. The barman wanted everyone out.
The heating stayed on all night our second night. It was vey hot and we had the window wide open all night and we were still too hot.

The White Horse felt like a proper pub with good pub food and beer. The room was very cozy and had everything we needed. We ate three meals in the pub, all were good but the breakfast was exceptional.
Nothing. The building is very old so you expect some quirkiness in the rooms.

Great location, lovely room, best value for money. Fabulous food served in the pub.
The room was a little hot and we couldn't turn the radiator down but just opened the window.

The location was amazing. The Olde World style of a traditional country pub is just great! Staff and locals really friendly. Staff very accommodating and greeted with a smile and very helpful. Room was just great, warm, traditional and had everything you need. Bed was comfy and a spacious room. Pub food and beer was fantastic! And very reasonably priced. Beautiful log fire and just that really cosy atmosphere. Will definitely return!!!

The warm welcome from all the staff was great. We ate in both nights and the food was exceptional, two of us had lamb steaks and they just melted in the mouth served with a gorgeous jus. Be warned though the portions are NOT small. We found both the food and drink very reasonably priced. Our bathroom was very roomy and smart with a really good over the bath shower.
If I was going to be picky I would say that it would have been good to have some yoghurt/fruit at breakfast but otherwise the breakfast food was good. Nothing else to fault.

Old and creaky! Love it

Staff were terrific and couldn't be more friendly. Great breakfast and the pub was very welcoming with a proper country pub feel to it. Room was clean and comfortable.
Old style pub meant the rooms were a little quirky. Website photos show room 5 which is the one to go for. Much more roomy than the others. We were in room 2 which was fine, but much smaller. We were shown room 1 which was smaller again and had quite a small toilet and shower. Awkward if you've got mobility issues. This doesn't detract from a lovely place and welcoming staff... recommended.

Unfortunately I didn't arrive until late in the evening so didn't get chance to eat, however I had breakfast which was very good.. My room was exceptional, suprisingly modern for the age of the pub and very clean. I left early in the morning as well so didn't get to see the surrounding area whiuch was a shame as it looked like a beautiful setting with the river running by.
Maybe a little early closing for food on the evening, 8.30pm

Have stayed at the property before about 9 years ago, however, it’s now looking very tired, menu isn’t as good and although room was clean it was very cold and no radiators or towel rail worked.

It was a lovely inn and the staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent
The radiators did not come on but we were given a back up heater which we used

Good food
Room lovely , comfy bed.
v noisy in the bar/restaurant
...it was Halloween night so everyone was hyped up with sweets/alcohol.
Room was cold and no way of turning the radiator on. Found an electric heater in a cupboard the next day but should have been told about that on the welcome note.

Very pretty building but tiered.. room’s were up to date and clean
There was no heating! We had additional heater in the wardrobe thankfully… the room and bathroom was cold! radiator and towel rail was stone cold… friends were staying in another room and it was the same for them. Food wasn’t great either

We’ve stayed a few times before so we knew it was the right place for us - it’s friendly and unsophisticated, with excellent food and lots of off-road parking. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. We stayed 3 nights and had one dinner and one breakfast, all very good. The White Horse is only a short drive (or a long walk) from Watchet where we met up with family.
No real niggles. The shower/WC was tiny (but it’s a very old pub and there’s no scope for enlargement). The bar and dining area were a bit cobwebby in places (again because it’s such an old building), but the tables were spotless. We’d have appreciated a second chair in our room but no reason for complaint.

Didnt stay
On arrival wasnt made to feel welcome, pup itself and room were dusty and dirty. Carpets frayed and didn’t fit the room. Would of had more room in a caravan bathroom. Nothing like pictures. We refused to stay and booked else where.

Lovely old pub, unspoilt in country location. Good parking, good sized comfortable room . Decent pub food- generous portions. Beer well kept and good value wines. Service at meals very efficient.
Welcome on arrival very poor - first thing said was that you have to pre-pay breakfast. This was before being given room key. Fire in bar not lit. Nowhere for residents to sit in bar- apart from one small area which was always full of locals every table had a reserved notice on it (with no indication of time it was needed) so you had to ask at bar where you could sit. Female staff were excellent- male staff varied between useless and offhand. This rather spoilt the ambience.

Lovely 17th century coaching inn next to the river.
A large car park just past the pub which can be reached by simply crossing the road at the front of the property. Staff very attentive and helpful.
Good range of food on menu and reasonably priced. The night I stayed was “Pie night “with a special offer.I enjoyed an evening meal and cooked breakfast in the morning.Room was clean and comfortable with a good shower.
The only thing I didn’t like was the short spiral staircase to get up to the room. However it was carpeted which made it easier to climb and there were handrails.Staff helped with luggage,

Comprehensive menu, Well prepared, arrived hot and in great time. Great service and the lady taking the orders and I think preparing it was wonderful
The full English had no black pudding option :(
It was a little awkward when coming down for breakfast as it wasn't clear if I should seat myself, attract someone attention or just wait. It was a small thing
